With 2007's -produced <em>¡Viva La Cobra!</em>, they further solidified their pop-savvy credentials and chart success followed. Buoyed by the Top 40 hit and clubby single <em>Good Girls Gone Bad</em> with Gossip Girl star, 2009's <em>Hot Mess,</em> making it's way on the album charts.<br> <br> They kept the party going in 2011 with the release of their fourth full-length, <em>Night Shades with the album </em>featuring top 10 hit <em>You Make Me Feel.</em>.. feat. Internally, there was the need to challenge themselves as songwriters while retaining the merciless intensity and unflinching honesty that have always been their calling cards. Externally, there was a whole new set of eyes on the Louisville quintet, following a banner year in which they’d brought their underground-seasoned sound to some of the world’s biggest stages such as Coachella and Bonnaroo.</p><p style="text-align: center;">There’s no ceiling for hardcore in 2025 — even an outfit as uncompromising as Knocked Loose can turn up in mainstream-adjacent spaces and win over new fans. But there’s a center to what they do that will never change: uncompromising heaviness, sonically & thematically. Everywhere Knocked Loose have been is here on this record — but so is everywhere they may yet go.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Since 2018, High Vis has polished their progressive hardcore sound with shades of post-punk, Brit pop, neo-psychedelia, and even Madchester groove, mapping a middle ground between hooks and fury, melodies and mosh pits. In 2019, High Vis released their debut album No Sense No Feeling, which broadened the scope of the hardcore veterans beyond scene while creating self-described “post-industrial-Britain misery punk.” The celebrated follow up, 2022’s Blending includes the tracks “Talk For Hours” and “Trauma Bonds” and not only expands upon the sonic breadth of High Vis, but vocalist Sayle opened his chest cavity through his lyrics discussing social issues and political miseries while reaching a hand out to folks listening to give a message of hope.</p><p style="text-align: center;">On Guided Tour, High Vis sounds like a band reaching for new heights, bristling with energy. Recorded across a few weeks at Holy Mountain Studios in London with producer Jonah Falco and engineer Stanley Gravett (who also helmed the sessions for High Vis’ Blending), the results feel dynamic and dialed-in, like anthems burned into sense memory through sweat and repetition. The album’s 11 songs span the spectrum of contemporary guitar music, sharpened by experience, camaraderie, and societal frustrations.</p><p style="text-align: center;">From swaggering street punk to jangling indie sneer to heavy alt to shoegazey spoken word, the group’s chemistry transmutes any style to their unique intensity.</p>

With their forthcoming album <strong><NOW></strong><strong>,</strong> the band—led by singer, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist <strong>Soyoon</strong>—is ready to defy any expectations placed upon them.</p><p style="text-align: center;">SE SO NEON have become well-known for their expansive definition of “rock,” with <em>Pitchfork</em> referring to them as “a versatile name in the Korean indie scene” in 2021. On <strong><NOW></strong><strong>,</strong> the band—including recently departed bassist <strong>Park Hyunjin</strong>—continues to evolve, with tracks like the feedback-shrouded mini-epic “Secret Police” and the R&B-tinged “Small Heart” taking off in unexpected, thrilling directions.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Since forming in 2016, SE SO NEON has won two Korean Music Awards, played festivals around Asia, and earned praise from international publications. After releasing her second solo album <em>Episode1: Love</em> in 2023, <strong>Soyoon</strong>—born <strong>Soyoon Hwang</strong>—felt anxious about the band’s next step.</p><p style="text-align: center;">“That uncertainty really sapped my creativity,” she says. “I’m a really creative person, but at that point, I only liked drawing, taking photos, and writing poems. Music made me so depressed because I had a lot of pressure, and I didn’t have any creative energy.”</p><p style="text-align: center;">Looking for a change of scenery, Soyoon traveled to New York to work with old friends. Immersing herself in nearly 10-hour studio days proved invigorating and helped her rediscover the joy in making music.</p><p style="text-align: center;">“That’s why the album is called <strong><NOW></strong><strong>,”</strong> she explains. “I had been thinking, ‘I’m done. I’m not going to do music anymore.’ But after that New York experience, I felt hope.”</p><p style="text-align: center;">Following that period, SE SO NEON toured briefly and showcased at SXSW in March 2024. Soyoon later relocated to Los Angeles, where the terrain, light, and new collaborators sparked further inspiration.</p><p style="text-align: center;">“I love nature—sky, sunshine,” she says. <strong>“</strong><strong><NOW></strong> is about nature, because I’m from nature.”</p><p style="text-align: center;">Soyoon grew up in the mountainous North Chungcheong Province of South Korea, often spending hours in solitude among the trees. That connection to nature—what she calls “always honest”—runs through <strong><NOW></strong><strong>,</strong> making it a universally emotional experience, regardless of language.</p><p style="text-align: center;">“Even if I don’t use English, people will feel the energy and soul in the music,” she says.</p><p style="text-align: center;">While the February 2025 departure of bassist <strong>Park Hyunjin</strong> changed the band’s structure, Soyoon emphasizes that SE SO NEON is still a band—just one that doesn’t operate in “classical band territory” anymore.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Soyoon began music young, taking piano lessons at five. But, she laughs, “I thought, ‘Piano is not cool enough.’” A cousin introduced her to guitar greats like <strong>B.B. King</strong><strong> </strong>and<strong> </strong><strong>John Mayer</strong>, and she became obsessed—despite her mother’s initial resistance.</p><p style="text-align: center;">“I learned really fast,” she recalls.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Soyoon’s guitar playing is central to <strong><NOW></strong><strong>, </strong>an album that defies genre and form to create something wholly unpredictable yet natural. Tracks like “New Romantic” capture “all the sunshine and color of the Los Angeles sun,” while “3Revolution” evolves from storming rock into shoegazing shimmer.</p><p style="text-align: center;">As a teenager, Soyoon handled every aspect of her music—writing, recording, designing covers, making videos, and playing solo gigs. Now, she’s brought that same hands-on approach back to SE SO NEON, directing videos and shaping the band’s multidimensional identity.</p><p style="text-align: center;">“I’m a rocker—I have a strong ‘rock attitude,’” she says. “But I don’t want to categorize myself. I’m a singer. I’m a director. I’m a writer. I’m a professional musician. I want to work in some random café here in Los Angeles, because I’ve never had an experience like that,” she says, smiling.</p><p style="text-align: center;">“I don’t want to define myself.
