A night of folk with Greenman Rising and special guests Liam Vincent and the Odd Foxes & Daisybell.A hardcore tradition for modern audiences. Driving dance tunes, songs about love, war, murder and betrayal. The soldier who rebels against an invasion and the sailor cheated when he comes on shore. Beautiful ballads and full-on musical madness that’ll get you dancing the night away.

The 8-piece Midlands-based Soul band Stone Foundation celebrate an incredible 25 years of success with the release of the retrospective anthology ‘Standing In The Light’ on 30 June 2023 through 100 Percent Records. With this collection, the band will be looking to continue their rich vein of success, their last four albums all charted UK Top 40 (Album Chart) and UK Top 10 (Independent Chart & also Vinyl Chart), including of course 2022’s ‘Outside Looking In’. The Mirror described them as “Majestic, optimistic soul. Faultless”. ‘Standing In The Light’ will feature the very best of the band’s output across that quarter century, and ten studio albums. The band will also bring the story right up to date with the inclusion of two brand new tracks – Stone Foundation are happy to celebrate the road travelled, but the foot remains on the accelerator. The album is available on a range of physical formats: 2CD [33 tracks] / 2LP [22 tracks] / 5CD boxset [78 tracks, many archive/unreleased] as well as Digital [replicating 2CD track-listing]. This announcement was preceded by the release of the single ‘B What U R’ and the album will follow the release of another single with‘Summer Feeling’ anding on 27 March on Digital and 7” format. The band are big advocates of the 7” format, having had a string of #1 hits on the Vinyl Singles Chart making them one of the most successful artists on that chart in the 2010s. Known for their collaborative spirit and inclusive approach, the band team up regularly with Paul Weller who sings lead on a number of their songs. He has worked with them frequently across the last decade, on both the Stone Foundation catalogue and his own solo work. ‘Standing In The Light’ boasts an enviable list of collaborators from the best of British (Weller, Mick Talbot, Dr Robert, Graham Parker and more) to the finest American soul voices (Durand Jones, Melba Moore, Bettye LaVette, William Bell, Nolan Porter & more). ‘Standing In The Light’ is yet another big step forward for this constantly evolving band. Along the way they have always ploughed their own furrow and made their own luck. Yet they have enjoyed national airplay from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, rave reviews from a huge range of publications, played Glastonbury and sold out headline shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the Electric Ballroom. Stone Foundation have recently opened for Madness, The Specials, Jamiroquai, Mavis Staples and Paul Weller. They have just announced a 25th Anniversary Tour for October / November 2023, including 2-night residency at Islington Assembly Hall; they never do less than 50 shows per year. The band are established, but never the establishment. Stone Foundation may be ten studio albums in and marking 25 years together with this release, but still feel like the underdog. ‘Standing In The Light’ might just provide the spotlight they deserve.

Now the longest established Oasis tribute in the world. Together for 18yrs and with over 2,000 shows under their belt, it’s easy to see why they are the most successful and admired Oasis show out there. With several tours on the prestigious o2 Academy circuit, appearances at huge open air festivals, continual tours across the UK and Ireland plus gigs all over Europe, the Middle East and even the Caribbean! The backstage bust ups and slanging matches on Twitter proved too much for this great British band but DEFINITELY MIGHTBE don’t share the same sibling rivalry as the real thing. They do however have a lot in common when it comes to reproducing the rousing anthems, stage presence and atmosphere that the originals created. Playing a selection from all seven albums including the hit singles, live favourites and a couple of Noel’s acoustic numbers make this a great show to watch. Lead singer Ian bears an uncanny resemblance to Liam and has worked as a look-a-like in the UK appearing on BBC1, Channel 4, Sky TV and ITV. Publicity campaigns and advertising for HMV, Virgin, Q Magazine, Loaded, Royal Bank Of Scotland, Lloyds Bank and the National Press. Ian was also asked to star in a video for heavy metal legends MOTORHEAD as Liam and also providing a voice over for a recent documentary accompanying the new Oasis-”Time Flies” DVD. To add to this, Ian has the knack of sounding like Liam too and was asked to provide the vocals on a dance remix of Wonderwall set for release in summer 2010. Paul Mitchell takes up the reigns as Noel and mimics the riffs and lead breaks with such precision you’d think you were listening to the CD. A very loud CD. While the rhythm section of Josh Walker on bass and James Graham on drums keep everything locked together and completes the DEF MB family. So, as good as the real thing? Well the lengendary Alan McGee thought so when he recently introduced the band live on stage! So they…..DEFINITELY MIGHTBE.

The comeback gig went so well that they're doing it all again! In their heyday The Disciples were one of the area’s most popular bands with their high-energy shows and up-tempo, authentic sound of soul classics and all-time favourites. The re-formed band, first formed three decades ago, features five original members - vocalist, Paul Skyers, guitarist Ted Dwyer, drummer Aidey Burr with Adey Lee, saxophone, and Guy Greenway, trumpet, leading the brass section. Those originals will be boosted by the addition of Catherine Nightingale on vocals, bass player Conner O’Conner and Paul Squire on baritone saxophone.
