TEDxUofM 2026: Radiance

Sat, Mar 14 at 3:00 PM

Event Information

8 Talks | 3 Performance Groups | 1 Unforgettable Afternoon Join us on March 14th for an inspiring evening at TEDxUofM 2026: Radiance, hosted at the Power Center for the Performing Arts, featuring TED Talks, performances, and more immersive experiences! All nine speakers are University of Michigan alumni, faculty, or students who will share powerful ideas and personal stories centered on the ways people shine, endure, and illuminate the world around them. Learn more about our speakers below. In a world often defined by uncertainty, stress, and rapid change, navigating daily life can feel like moving through darkness without a clear path forward. Yet, even in the dimmest moments, light finds a way to emerge. Our 2026 conference theme, Radiance, explores those moments of brilliance when individuals discover, cultivate, or become sources of light for themselves and others. Radiance is more than brightness; it is the warmth of human connection, the courage to persevere, and the passion that fuels ideas worth sharing. Sometimes radiance is innate: a talent, joy, or conviction that shines effortlessly. Other times, it is forged through struggle, growth, or the influence of people and experiences that challenge us to evolve. Like light passing through a prism, a single ray can refract into countless colors, symbolizing how one person’s radiance can ripple outward and impact many lives. This year, we invite speakers to reflect on what it means to shine in moments of triumph and adversity alike. Through stories of resilience, creativity, and discovery, they will examine how radiance reveals truth, sparks imagination, and guides us forward, both individually and collectively. Meet the Speakers TEDxUofM 2026: Radiance brings together nine voices from across the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor community, each offering a distinct perspective on what it means to shine in today’s world. This year’s speakers represent a wide range of lived experiences and ideas, united by a common thread: the power of radiance to spark change, connection, and growth in ourselves and others.
