Journaling and poetic expression are also encouraged. Some materials will be available onsite. Arrival & Admission Policy: Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive at registration by 2:45 PM. Admission to the building closes at 3:00 PM, and guests must be inside the Art Lab by this time to participate. Once the Art Church meditation begins, late arrivals will not be permitted into the room. If you arrive late, a remote viewing option will be available in the Grey House Parlor. What is Art Church at CoSM? Each of us carry a spark of the Almighty Force of the Universe that seeks expression through our lives and works. We gather as community to activate our creativity as spiritual practice. The Universal Creative Force is the Divine Artist and Cosmos is the evolving masterwork of Creation. When we make art together, a new way of seeing may emerge. As Sacred Mirrors, we reflect and reinforce the redemptive transformative power of art in each of our lives. Art Church begins with a wisdom drop on the monthly theme by Alex & Allyson, followed by a group meditation where we create art to music. After the meditation, CoSM members have the opportunity to share their creations with the community. Your Hosts: Alex Grey & Allyson Grey The Visionary paintings of Alex Grey articulate realms of psychedelic mystical experience, revealing interwoven energies of body and soul, love and spirit, that illuminate the anatomical core of each being. Alex’s artworks on the nature of life and consciousness, have reached millions through his five books including three monographs, the exhibition and extensive reproduction of his artwork, social media, live-painting and speaking appearances including a popular TED talk, plus his stage sets, animation, and Grammy award winning album art for the rock band Tool. The subject of Allyson’s paintings is an essentialized world view, the artist’s interpretation of the realms of Chaos, Order & Secret Writing. Chaos represents the material world, Order, the interconnected realm of energy and light and Secret Writing, the untranslatable language of creative expression. Allyson has been the creative and life partner of artist, Alex Grey, since meeting in art school in 1975. Allyson has long been an art educator, organization developer, editor and muse to artists worldwide. MFA, Tufts University. 2026 Figure Drawing at CoSM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: CoSM welcomes you to an afternoon of Live Figure Drawing. Sessions will feature an open studio environment, providing a live nude model posing for various time-lengths throughout the three hour drawing session. Hone your creative skills in an inspiring setting with fellow artists. This figure drawing session happens monthly at CoSM. Class sessions, open to all levels of experience, will take place in the beautiful MAGI Art Lab (Mystic Artists Guild International). Come draw with us at CoSM! All participants must be 18+ or accompanied by a legal guardian. WHAT TO EXPECT: Live Figure Drawing Techniques: Sharpen your hand-eye coordination through rendering the three-dimensional human form in real-time. Anatomy & Proportions: Develop better understanding of human anatomy and proportions, essential for creating realistic and expressive figures. Collaborative Learning: Engage with fellow artists in a collaborative and supportive learning environment. Artwork by Dr. Todd Kefor, CoSM workshop participant. Open Studio Live Figure Drawing sessions are facilitated by skilled CoSM staff members. Alex Grey and Allyson Grey may attend as special guest facilitators on occasion as their schedule permits. SCHEDULE: 12pm - CoSM opens to the public 1pm - 4pm - Figure Drawing in the Art Lab 6pm - CoSM closes Tuition also includes Day Admission to CoSM on the day of the event.
