We meet on this monthly high tide of the spirit because the Full Moon is a symbol of the Soul, a luminous circle reflecting a greater light, just as each of us are sacred mirrors of God’s shining presence. The Full Moon Ceremony, held in the Great Hall, Entheon, hosts inspiring short presentations from wisdom teachers, poets, musicians, spiritual friends of all faiths. Alex and Allyson share a presentation on the theme of the month and guests have the chance to offer a blessing or declaration to the community. The performance ceremony adjourns and guests break for live music and dancing, socializing, visiting Entheon, the Mushroom Cafe and the CoSM Shop, gazing into an outdoor bonfire or an indoor fireplace, watching excellent fire-spinning, belly dancing, acrobatics, live painting and more. Freeing the Voice Techniques for Breath, Tone & Healing with Dream Seed Saturday September 9, 2025 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM   ABOUT THE PROGRAM In this workshop participants are guided on how to use the medicine of their voice through singing, chanting, mantra, healing songs, toning, overtone vocalizations, with and without instrumental accompaniment. To find our voice through song and prayer can be healing and transformative for ourselves, for others and for the entire world, as it is an act of courage and vulnerability that speaks to the spirit on many levels. People often compare their voice to that of pop musicians but what makes the voice transcend entertainment and create healing is connecting to our raw, unique, and authentic vibration. In this workshop we will guide participants on how to use the medicine of their voice through singing, chanting, mantra, healing songs, toning, overtone vocalizations, with and without instrumental accompaniment.     In addition this workshop will cover: Voice techniques, warm-ups, exercises, How to control volume, projection and resonance Vocal Health (teas, what to avoid, etc.) Working with the throat chakra to find your authentic voice     WHAT TO EXPECT Professional vocal warm up exercises, techniques, and circling for opening the physicality & emotional empowerment of the voice to allow the authentic expression to arise. Group mantra recitation, overtone chanting, Tuvan throat singing, & traditional Native American medicine songs taught through call & response. Activating the chakra system through the voice with crystal bowls, the shruti box, didgeridoo, & other overtone emitting instruments creating a soundscape bed to sing with. Each participant will have the opportunity to lead the group in circling call & response exercises throughout the course. Class will take place in the beautiful, newly renovated MAGI Art Lab.   YOUR INSTRUCTORS Jerry Walsh Jerry has been deeply walking the path of dharma and meditation for 16 years and has been a student of the shamanic traditions for over 13 years, undergoing intensive initiations under various Native elders, guided by his teacher, Taino elder, Maestro Manuel Rufino. He is a member of the sound meditation ensemble, Dream Seed, and has traveled to over 30 countries on five continents, spending a year studying Buddhism and traditional Himalayan culture in India, Nepal, and Bhutan from 2010-2011. Acoustic or electric guitars welcome. Electric guitarists should bring their own amp. Students are encouraged to play, but not required. The class will be low pressure, but maximum inspiration.    YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Cloudchord     Cloudchord aka Derek VanScoten is a Producer, Guitarist, and Ableton Certified Trainer. He is supported by D’Angelico, Fender, Supro, Quilter Labs, Joystrings, Native Instruments, and Ableton.  In 2024, Cloudchord had several viral social media videos in his Surf Covers series. His Tool cover was shot at CoSM’s Entheon. While amassing over 130 millions streams, this past year has seen him dropping boom bap bossa novas, funky disco, cinematic lofi, and trancey deep house. Genuine connection with the creative Source is the mission. Live shows incorporate improv looping, group sing-alongs, uptempo funk numbers, and in the crowd guitar solos. Past collaborations include Big Gigantic, Emancipator, Braxton Cook, Prob Cause, Dirtwire, East Forest, Oatmello, Sunsquabi, Random Rab, and Ian Ewing. Open Studio Live Figure Drawing sessions are facilitated by skilled CoSM staff members. Alex Grey and Allyson Grey may attend as special guest facilitators on occasion as their schedule permits.  Live Figure Drawing Techniques: Hone your hand-eye coordination through rendering the three-dimensional human form in real-time. Anatomy & Proportions: Develop better understanding of human anatomy and proportions, essential for creating realistic and expressive figures.
