  DESCENT - A Ritual Performance A contemporary performance piece by performer Riley Davidson and cellist Moritz Ebert, with Juan Cernadas sound design. /// WHAT: A mordern interpretation of the ancient Sumerian myth of Inanna's descent into the underworld. A contemporary performance piece by performer Riley Davidson and cellist Moritz Ebert, with Juan Cernadas sound design.  DESCENT is a live performance where flesh, sound, and silence remembers what logic forgot. A performer undresses the myths they inherited. A cellist mourns. A sound designer builds the atmosphere live, breath by breath. As we descend into the collapse of the empire, like Inanna, we must shed the versions of ourselves rooted in colonial ways of thinking. A container for the wordless rage and grief of our own complicity. A ritual for untangling the mess of the generations past. This production is funded solely by ticket income. It is important for us to not put a limit on the amount of solidarity tickets we can offer therefore we have created a sliding scale ticketing system. Sliding scale is a form of mutual aid that recognizes money as a barrier to access. It is a trust based system that requires the evaluation of each guest for what they can afford to pay based on their income.
