Named one of the greatest Australian singers of all time by the Herald Sun, Katie has produced 29 albums throughout her career, with seven times platinum record sales under her belt and 29 ARIA award nominations that span diverse genres. In 2023 Katie was awarded ‘Best Live Voice QLD’ in the National Live Music Awards.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br>Katie first introduced her unique adaptation of Jeff Buckley’s Grace live, recently performing an incredible five sold-out nights at Sydney Festival. Praise from fans and critics came pouring in for the singer-songwriter's ability to maintain the qualities of the traditional tracks while adding her unique flair and tone to curate a memorable homage to an iconic body of work. <br><br>“From the spacious falsetto vocalise of the opening of Mojo Pin over a gently rocking guitar, breaking out into the wild and edgy middle section, it was clear that this 70-minute show on the stage of the Wharf Theatre was going to be electrifying.” <em>- Daily Telegraph</em><br> <br>“Like Buckley, she’s a phenomenally acrobatic vocalist, but it never feels like the point is to show off – rather, the vocal gymnastics are a conduit for what is essentially an hour of unadulterated feeling” -<em> Theatre Travels</em><br><br>Speaking on the significance of Jeff Buckley’s Grace, Katie says: <em>“In 1994, Jeff Buckley’s seminal debut album Grace was released into the world. I was 17 and never had I heard a sound world like this, never had I heard a band that unique and never had I heard a voice that expressive, exploratory and exciting.<br>This album is the single biggest influence on my musical journey and was an enormous inspiration for my debut album Polyserena and my 29 subsequent studio albums.<br>I was lucky enough to see Jeff live in 1996 and it was honestly a transcendental experience and one of the greatest concerts I will ever see.<br>His integrity, unique sound and achingly honest lyrics have inspired me so deeply, and in the 30th anniversary of the Grace album, I am honoured to present this body of work with some of my favourite musicians and pay homage to a life changing album and a truly once in a lifetime artist.”<br></em><br>Joining Katie as special guest on all SA, WA, TAS, QLD and NSW shows (except Albury) is prolific Australian songwriter and author <strong>Jack Carty</strong>. Making, touring, and releasing original music since 2010, Carty has received a #1 independent album; a Top 40 album; and a loyal, grassroots following built on great songs and a powerful live show. This will be the third studio album recorded at the bands off the grid recording studio in regional Victoria, following on from ‘Life After Football’ & the #1 ARIA charting Album ‘Don’t Waste Your Anger’<br><br>They have also announced a mammoth 24 date East Coast regional tour, with shows from Traralgon to Cairns and nearly everywhere in between. The tour will include their first ever trip to Mildura, and finally returning to places they haven’t been in nearly a decade; Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Rockhampton & Mackay.</p>
