Welcome to Alchemy's 'Who the F*** Am I?' Workshop We know what it is like when your sense of self crumbles every time someone gives you a piece of ‘constructive feedback’, or every time you are passed over for a role or design job. That is a hell of a roller coaster to be stuck on. Are you ready to get off the ride? In this experiential workshop you will discover new things about who you are and what you value. Then you will use those discoveries to get clear everything from how you make your art, to who you make that art with. One thing is for sure, you will walk away knowing more about the most fascinating of subjects: Yourself. The workshop experience is unique to each participant, but we feel confident that you will:Learn a framework for understanding your multifaceted identity, so that you can put feedback and rejection where it belongs. Identify the personal values that inform the priorities and decision making processes in your craft. Gain a system for taking back the parts of your artistic career that you feel you have no control over. Experiment with detangling your ego from your art so that you can make braver choices. This is for the theatre artists who have an existential crisis every time they get a rejection email, the ones who struggle to make decisions they feel confident about, and the ones who get sent on a spiral when someone gives them feedback on their art, good or bad. Artists at any point in their career are welcome, from emerging to seasoned, every artist can benefit from an opportunity to get reacquainted with themself.
