This Halloween, the Garrison Gallery and Patchwork Studios are throwing their spookiest annual extravaganza yet, with a Monster Ball at the Old Hollywood Hotel. Two mind-warping bands from across the UK will descend upon Patchwork Studios for a night of bone-shaking psych, rock, and doom. Meanwhile, the Garrison Gallery will be transformed into the shadowed halls of the Old Hollywood Hotel; a place of faded glamour and unsettling beauty, where sinister hosts will be serving bespoke cocktails potent enough to raise the dead. 🩸💀 LINEUP💀🩸 🌫️ Lamears (Bristol) Born in the sonic fog of Bristol, Lamears brings stoner rock/psyche with inspiration from Rage, Kyuss and The Doors.  🌀 Longheads (South London – Stolen Body Records) Long-form, riff-laden, and transcendently loud, Longheads are psych-rock voyagers who’ve shared stages with Slift, King Buffalo, and hit DesertFest 2023 and Glastonbury 2024. Champions of the underground, with support from BBC Radio 6, Kerrang!, Total Guitar, Prog and Classic Rock, they’re known for sprawling jams, swirling effects, and thunderous crescendos. If you like your Halloween with a hint of the cosmic, don’t miss this. 🦇 This is the fifth year that the Garrison Gallery and Patchwork have held its highly terrifying, highly revered Halloween extravaganza. Expect no less than a transformed Garrison into the craky, creepy surrounds of the Old Hollywood Hotel, horror-themed cocktails, whilst the decibels from our bands next door in Patchwork keep the dead on track. 🧛‍♂️ Come dressed to distress - the theme is Monster Ball. The more obscure, mind-bending and truly monstrous, the better. The most impressive of get ups will be voted upon on the night, with the prom king and queen (to be announced at 8pm in Patchwork) awarded FREE BEERS for the rest of the evening! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patchwork Studios operate a diverse and inclusive programme of creative events. From firm festival circuit favourites, undiscovered local acts fresh on the scene, and underground DJs from across the region, to some of the most exciting acts smashing into the national limelight; you’ll find it all up at Maker Heights. These events vitally support our rural community offerings, helping us to improve social integration, while also celebrating culture and inspiring creativity. Between April and October, camping is available separately via Maker Camp website. Our Tavern within the venue is open until late during show nights, dishing out all the finest local tipples to keep you hydrated, plus Garrison Gallery are often serving up a storm of cocktails within their magical art-adorned walls next door. Lil Pizza Heaven are usually parked up on site on a Saturday evening too to keep you fuelled. Why not make a weekend of it, and treat yourself to a Lit Sauna session while you’re here? The Canteen opens at 9:30am the next morning for coffee and breakfast, and during the camping season, you'll find delicious homemade scran to keep your bellies full into the evening, over by the campsite entrance. The twin fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are only a short walk away, as are their lovely beaches, and the Southwest Coast Path runs straight past too.
