SUTHERING consists of Julu and Heg, whose harmonies weave effortlessly through their original songs, paired with gentle guitar and emotive piano arrangements, transporting audiences into a world of timeless storytelling. Known for their chemistry and humour on stage, they effortlessly intertwine their important messages about the state of our climate, social conscience, and the importance of community and connecting with nature. They champion female characters, creating new narratives for women and unearthing the female heroines of the folk tradition.  2024 marked the release of their second studio album Leave A Light On. Produced by BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Winner, Sean Lakeman (Levellers, Seth Lakeman), the album is a bold new direction in sound for the duo. A poignant and powerful exploration of themes affecting the social and political landscape, Leave A Light On is a collection of personal reflections, captivating stories and modern-day songs of protest and unity.  In 2022, they made history by setting up the first-ever pride event in their hometown. Tavistock Pride received acknowledgment from national and local press, radio and received an endorsement from Olympic athlete Tom Daley. Tavi Pride continues as an annual event which includes a large parade and festival. Julu and Heg are passionate about advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and for the rights of women and other marginalised people, through their music and through community engagement. Patchwork Studios operate a diverse and inclusive programme of creative events. From firm festival circuit favourites, undiscovered local acts fresh on the scene, and underground DJs from across the region, to some of the most exciting acts smashing into the national limelight; you’ll find it all up at Maker Heights. These events vitally support our rural community offerings, helping us to improve social integration, while also celebrating culture and inspiring creativity. Between April and October, camping is available separately via Maker Camp website. Our Tavern within the venue is open until late during show nights, dishing out all the finest local tipples to keep you hydrated, plus Garrison Gallery are often serving up a storm of cocktails within their magical art-adorned walls next door. The Canteen opens at 9:30am the next morning for coffee and breakfast, and during the camping season, you'll find delicious homemade scran to keep your bellies full into the evening, over by the campsite entrance.  See you up the hill 🌞

Online viral sensation Louis Burgess has been dubbed as one of freshest & most exciting musical comedy acts in the UK. Louis has achieved over 50 million views worldwide for his online comedy videos, best known for his online hits “I’m Awake” and “Long Build Ups and Disappointing Drops”.  Featured on Unilad, Viral Thread, Wall Of Comedy, The Poke & Metro to name a few. His unique and innovative live act is a rip-roaring concoction of singing, rapping, sampling, beatboxing, strumming, looping and more. Fresh from the triumphant release of their debut album ‘Hello, Boil Brain’, Bristol based art-rock outfit Sans Froid have steadily gained plaudits from a host of underground music tastemakers including BBC 6Music, LOUD WOMEN, Noizze, Maximum Volume, Echoes & Dust, The Scene, At The Barrier, Bristol 24/7 and more. Their innovative and chameleonic sound also sees them citing Bjork, Radiohead and The Mars Volta as key influences.
