Stage on Screen | 7pm | £16 + Booking fee | (15) Inter Alia is a searing new play from the team behind Prima Facie. Jessica Parks is smart, compassionate, and a true maverick at the top of her career as an eminent London Crown Court Judge. At work, she’s changing and challenging the system one case at a time. But behind the robe, Jessica is a karaoke fiend, a loving wife and a supportive parent. While managing the impossible juggling act faced by every working mother, an event threatens to throw her life completely off balance. Can she hold her family upright? Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, Saltburn) makes her National Theatre debut as Jessica. Writer Suzie Miller and director Justin Martin reunite, following their global phenomenon, Prima Facie, with this searing examination of modern masculinity and motherhood. Rosamund Pike said, “My character has sons, and she’s a criminal judge – many defendants are young men. So it’s a story about navigating the raising of boys and whether we are letting them down. That’s a big debate right now.” In a statement, writer Suzie Miller explained, “Following the success of the National Theatre Live release of Prima Facie which has now been seen on the big screen by 1.4 million people—I’m thrilled to have Inter Alia broadcast to cinemas…I’ve witnessed firsthand how NTLive can not only reach but deeply connect with and impact audiences across the world, and I hope this play will do the same.”

Doors: 7:30pm | Tickets: £20 + Booking Fee | Theatre Horse is the phenomenal singer, songwriter and true icon. The first Horse album, The Same Sky, was released on Capitol, June 18th 1990. The songs on this album remain an important backdrop for many lives. The first single taken from the album was You could be Forgiven, followed by The Speed of the Beat and Sweet Thing. The final single from the album was the beautiful song Careful, (with just voice and strings) which still stands the test of time. Careful was covered by Will Young. The band toured the album extensively all over the UK and Europe and also supported legends such as Tina Turner and BB King. In this unique show, the format will be an ‘in conversation’ style, with the album played in the original order plus the ultimate songs chosen from an 11 album career, including songs from the glorious latest album The Road Less Travelled. “Horse could sing a weather report and make it moving” Leicester Mercury “… a ridiculously magnificent voice, …reasserts herself as the ultimate singers’ singer” The write angle “One of Britain’s finest singers” Q

Cinema| 8pm| £8.50+ booking fee The untold story of the halcyon era of women’s professional cycling, Breakaway Femmes. For six glorious years during the 1980s, the Tour de France held a women’s race alongside the men’s race. These women raced over the same cobblestones, conquered the same mountains, and were cheered by the same throng of adoring crowds as the men. The women’s race delivered underdog victories, great rivalries, and immense feats of courage. Along the way, they battled financial hardship, injuries, discrimination, derision, the emerging doping culture and logistical nightmares. But they also found something else, an inner strength and a bond of sisterhood that would last the rest of their lives. Ultimately, their race was cancelled, and their heroic deeds have been almost forgotten. More than three decades later, older and wiser, the women look back at their brief moment at the pinnacle of cycling. Breakaway Femmes finds out what did they lose? What did they gain? And what can these pioneers of women’s sports offer to the next generation who dare to dream?
