<p>LOVE POLICE PRESENTS WILLIE WATSON'S AUSTRALIAN TOUR 2026<br><br>Also playing Port Fairy Folk Festival and Blue Mountains Music Festival<br>Following on from the release of his first true collection of original songs <strong>WILLIE WATSON</strong>,<br>the celebrated folk singer returns to Australia this March for a run around the country sharing<br>and celebrating music in the American folk tradition.<br> <br>Co-founder of Old Crow Medicine Show and Gillian Welch and David Rawlings collaborator,<br>Willie Watson is back with a suite of new music, produced alongside members of Punch<br>Brothers and Milk Carton Kids, that reckon with heartbreak, memory, sobriety and hope,<br>carried by Watson’s exquisite rural tenor and timeless sense of songcraft.<br> <br>Stripped of the cowboy hat and expectations, Watson has emerged as a songwriter of rare<br>depth and truth. His new work stands proudly alongside the folk canon he has long<br>championed - songs that remind us of our shared burdens, resilience and the possibility of<br>renewal.<br> <br>This March, Love Police proudly presents Willie Watson as he returns Down Under for the<br>tenth or so time. Ward returns to Australia in March with his band, The Undertakers for a special East Coast tour taking the music from metro bars to the regions.<br> <br>Renowned for leaving his audiences spellbound, M.Ward’s warm vocals, intricate guitar work and atmospheric songwriting light up rooms, reaffirming his status as one of the most quietly influential artists of his generation. Best known for his celebrated solo albums, his work with Zooey Deschanel as She & Him, and his role in the acclaimed supergroup Monsters of Folk, Ward continues to captivate fans around the world.<br> <br>Joined by The Undertakers, Ward will bring a fuller, richer and more expansive live experience to Australian stages — weaving his signature folk-blues storytelling through the band’s dynamic accompaniment.
