Kelsey Wilson has never been able to escape the pull of music. At the early age of 4, she began playing violin and quickly became fascinated with her familys expansive record collection. Growing up homeschooled with a mother whose life had been embedded in the gospel church, Wilson found herself immersed in the genre and became enamored with Rt until her teenage years that she was introduced to genres like country rap and pop. None of it really hit after so many years of what I was listening to, so I just implanted gospel into my brain. While Wilson never thought she would be a professional musician, life had other plans. In the early 2010s, Wilson found momentum as the lead vocalist and violinist of the Austin-based Americana outfit Wild Child. I was writing songs with someone who played the ukulele, so I realized that I could fit melodies and words over the chords he was playing and it was really easy. Throughout their 14-year tenure, the group released five albums and has toured with artists like Mt. Joy, Robert Ellis and Shakey Graves. Because it was easy, Wilson believed that she was supposed to be making folk music. After all, the band has found moderate success over the years, from movie and TV show placements to commercial jingles. But the music didnt feel authentic to Wilson. I wasnt being my genuine self, she says. Still, she didnt know what kind of music she would make if she was in complete control. In 2018, the year before lockdown, she penned what would be the first Sir Woman record several songs that didnt quite fit in the Wild Child world. At the time, she didnt intend to create a band or touring the record. I just wanted to make an album that sounded like me entirely. The name of Wilsons rollicking solo project fittingly came to her just as Wild Child was playing the last festival before their hiatus. While roaming around the festival grounds, a security guard yelled at her, calling her sir and woman. Something clicked: It was the song that she had been singing in a dream the night before, the character she longed to create. It felt so appropriate and reminded me of Motown, just classic but powerful. It was everything that I didnt really get to express in Wild Child.

Mucca Pazza is an intrepid interdisciplinary instrumental music ensemble from Chicago, IL. Since 2004, they have made a name for themselves playing alarmingly danceable music composed and arranged especially for their implausible instrumentation by band members - original music which defies classification but has bloomed out of manifold influences, from surf to Stravinsky, from Bartok to Zappa, from Esquivel to Ellington. In addition to blaring trumpets, slithering saxophones, clarinets, trombones, and tubas, the band boasts a drumline that seems to share a single nervous system, an entire section of disparate instruments that dont belong anywhere near a marching band (electric guitars, accordion, violin, and yes, a cello), and contains within its multitudes a cheer squad that performs absurdist cheers and asymmetrical, impressively low-to-the-ground pyramids. No-one has ever been completely certain of the exact number of people in Mucca Pazza. Everyone can be completely certain that this group of weirdos belongs together! Mucca Pazza: embracing the absurd! in solidarity with the improbable._____7th Period is a 7-piece teenage ensemble that performs jazz/funk/soul/pop covers, along with a sprinkling of originals. Formed in 2024 inside the hallowed halls of Evanstons Nichols Middle School, the group would meet during their lunch break (7th period) in the empty music room to jam exploring musical genres, discovering their ability to create as a group, and having a lot of fun. Encouraged by the massive support given by the schools band director, John Carroll, 7th Period emerged from the classroom and onto the scene. The band continues to grow by exploring the versatility of their instruments and sharing their love of rhythmically upbeat music to all audiences, especially their own. 7th Period is: Noah Hunt (tenor sax), Simone Hewitt (tenor sax), Dylan Wooller (trumpet), Dalston Wooller (alto sax), Ben Williams (guitar), Leonidas Patton (bass), and Brooke Van Haelewyn (drums).

Caroline Davis Portals Caroline Davis (alto saxophone), Marquis Hill (trumpet), Julian Shore (piano), Chris Tordini (bass), Allan Mednard (drums)_______Caroline Davis Portals is an immersive sound and haptic experience, drawing upon the idea of mourning and ancestral communications as textural entities. The music has been mindfully written to offer connections to Carolines ancestors who have transitioned and elements they would like to explore through the life-cycle portal. Through the compositions, the ensemble engages in the connective tissue between dual and non-dual realms of existence. Presented on her albums Volumes 1 (Mourning, 2021) and 2 (Returning, 2024) the core group on these two albums features Julian Shore, Marquis Hill, Chris Tordini, and Allan Mednard.

Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers will make a sprightly young groove doctor out of anyone. With spectacular energy pulsating from every member of the band, the Rainbow Seekers could illuminate the very chambers of Heaven. Lead singer Joe Hertler splashes through lyrical puddles of golden rain, leaving his audience wearing flowery crowns and bubbling smiles. A ride on the Rainbow will take you across the mountains of Motown, through the fjords of folk, over the archipelagos of Americana, and-at last-into a funky firth, where only the fiercest of friendships can be found. The Rainbow Seekers began their historic quest 8 years ago, revolving around the pure, unadulterated songwriting of their fearless leader, Joe Hertler. Ryan Hoger was the first among the Seekers to find this lonely songsmith and recognize the twinkling magic in his beard. The young boy gave up all his earthly possessions (besides his guitar, of course) and became the first disciple of the Rainbow. With this, the core of the Rainbow was thereby established, and it didnt take long for the Rainbow Seekers to continue their expansion. Multi-instrumentalist and notable auxiliary percussion maestro Micah Bracken journeyed from the bowels of Atlantis when he heard tell of the Rainbow, and the earth trembled as saxophonist and all-around badass Aaron Stinson descended from Olympus on a golden rainbow of his own. Then came thunder from the depths of space and as it picked up the bass, a soft exhale escaped the lips of every princess within a hundred moons, Bambis, they cooed. All the while, on the other ends of the earth, a young boy was hard at work, honing and sharpening his sticks for the day that the Rainbow would come his way, and when it landed at his door, Ryan McMahon climbed aboard. If youre still reading this, at least one thing is true: The Rainbow Seekers have been waiting for you. If youll only let them, they will shake the dust from your wildest expectations. They will roar into your life with rapturous frequencies, exuberant tone, and a joyfulness of purpose that has truly become a rare sight on stage. Join them in their celebration, and they will take you on a never-ending journey to a place youll never be able to describe in words.

Much like gumbo, the famous dish of their hometown, the New Orleans-born Cowboy Mouth uses a potent blend of musical ingredients - rock, blues, punk, funk, country, pop, soul and whatever else feels good to create their bodacious, kickass tunes. Frontman, drummer, and co-founder Fred LeBlanc has asserted if The Neville Brothers and The Clash had a baby, it would be Cowboy Mouth. His description not only reflects the groups amazing diverse sound, but it also conveys the fire and commitment they bring to their music.Cowboy Mouth has perfected their wonderfully rambunctious style over the bands three decades together. During that time, they have sold over a half a million albums domestically, performed before more than 10 million people, and played over 3,000 concerts. These relentless road warriors built their reputation and developed their devoted fan base through powerhouse live performances (frequently averaging 250 gigs a year). With every show, no matter where it is, we try to turn it into New Orleans during the middle of Mardi Gras, LeBlanc proclaims. Its like a southern gospel revival without the religion unless your religion is rock n roll!Cowboy Mouth formed in 1990, and their festive, free-wheeling style stood in sharp contrast to the then-popular grunge sound. In 1996, the band signed with MCA and their major label debut, Are You With Me?, spawned their biggest hit, Jenny Says, which cracked the top 40 on Billboards Mainstream Rock and Alternative Rock charts. Their tunes have appeared in films ranging from the crime drama The Underneath (which featured them performing on screen) to the family comedy Meet The Robinsons. After doing several more albums on MCA Records and then Atlantic Records, Cowboy Mouth has continued to get their music to the people with a series of well-received independent and self-released albums. New Orleans and Louisiana have always been special places for Cowboy Mouth, who are inductees in The Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame. Their tune, Mardi Gras State Of Mind, featuring another NOLA luminary Big Sam Williams (of Big Sams Funky Nation) on trombone, delivers a joy-filled, footloose tribute to the world-famous carnival. LeBlanc (previously of the punkabilly band Dash Rip Rock) and former Red Rocker guitarist John Thomas Griffith have been guiding Cowboy Mouth from the very beginning. Bassist Brian Bruiser Broussard joined the group in 2014, and quickly developed a telepathic groove with drummer LeBlanc (Broussard, by the way, is a beermaster too). The bands newest member is Frank (aka Frankie G) Grocholski, who has teamed up with Griffith to create a formidable two-man guitar army.

Two singer-songwriters sit on the edge of a cliffWith these words, we are drawn into the world of Both Sides Now - a theatrical concert that explores the music and lives of long-time friends and one-time lovers, Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. Created by, and starring Robbie Schaefer and Danielle Wertz, the cabaret-style performance traverses decades alongside songs such as A Case of You, Hallelujah, Big Yellow Taxi, Suzanne, and many more. Both Sides Now is at once a piece of the 60s and 70s, and of right now -- offering us a story about the messiness of being human, of lives persistently lived at the edge of growth, and of finding the courage to turn toward one another, again and again.Robbie Schaefer - Robbie is a rabbi, singer-songwriter and theatre/film artist. The guitarist and songwriter for the indie folk band Eddie From Ohio has several solo releases as well, including the 2023 single Under the Sun. He is the founder of Lamplighters, an online community that cultivates small-batch, relationship-driven, inclusive Judaism. He is also the founder of OneVoice, an international non-profit that unites and empowers youth through music and the creative arts. The organization was active from 2011-2023 and completed projects in Tanzania, Nicaragua, India, Greece, and Israel. Robbie has shared the stage with Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles, Josh Groban, Keb Mo, and Emmylou Harris, among others. His first work for musical theater, Light Years, which explores his relationship with his father, a Holocaust survivor, saw its world premiere at the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre in 2018. The musical is now a feature film entitled Burst The Silence (Rolling Pictures), which is due for release on streaming platforms in 2025. He is currently at work on a new musical, The Blue Poppy, an Irish-Jewish ghost story written in collaboration with Scottish playwright Grace Barnes, and Songs From The Wilderness, a new album of Jewish musical midrash (interpretation), due for release in early 2026. Also, he likes olives. A lot.Danielle Wertz -Danielle is a storyteller, collaborator, jazz musician, composer and arranger. Described as, untarnished by the politics of music (Jazz Music Archives) and a masterful ballad interpreter (New York City Jazz Record) she has rapidly gained national acclaim. After being named a 2015 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition semi-finalist, Danielle independently released her debut album, Intertwined, which ranked #4 on Capital Bops list of Best DC Jazz Albums of 2017. That same year she placed 2nd in the Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition and 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Vocal Competition. In 2023 Danielle released her sophomore album, Other Side. With this project she made a quantum leap as a composer and conceptualist. Reimagined and rewritten during the pandemic, the album pairs her original compositions with carefully crafted arrangements of standards from the Great American Songbook. Jazziz called the album expressive and polished and Jazz Weekly noticed a Joni Mitchelld tenderness to her material. Danielle continues to be an avid collaborator internationally and as a member of the NYC jazz scene, and is looking forward to headlining her first European tour in 2025. Also, she loves chocolate. A lot.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Matt Pond PAs Several Arrows Later. To celebrate, the band is reissuing the album with additional acoustic versions and demos, and performing special shows on the East Coast and in the Midwest this November. As a trio with strings, they will perform songs from their critically acclaimed album including Halloween, So Much Trouble, Brooklyn Stars and Several Arrows Later alongside other favorites from their catalog and new songs Matt co-wrote with his wife, Anya Marina. Theyll also be releasing a 20th-anniversary limited edition of the album, available at all shows.Several Arrows Later, beloved by mpPA fans, served as a kind of fulcrum in Matts musical life. He was hitting his stride as a songwriterone who constantly mines the natural landscape, and that of the heart. The album resonated deeply with those who already followed his work, as well as new listeners, with whom his intentions seemed to click. When this album came out, that was when I really started seeing people singing along to the songs, and they were showing me tattoos of lyrics, Matt says. I wanted to start a modest movement where people believed in their imperfections. And humbly, I believe it worked. He says he wrote the album in a small green room in Brooklyn. All my gear was stacked to the ceiling. There was a small path to the bed, and thats where Id sit with my notebook and tape recorder. I was invigorated by the good and the bad of it all. I was embracing how I didnt fit inhow I will probably never fit in. To me, the album is a celebration of that realization.
