The Steelin’ Dan seven Piece Band features seven members of Steelin’ Dan, northern California’s award-winning 10-piece Steely Dan tribute band. Steelin’ Dan has been performing throughout California and Northern Nevada for over 20 years and has developed a large and enthusiastic fan base. The band has been critically acclaimed in the media and was awarded the 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Sammie Award for Best Tribute Band by the readers of Sacramento News and Review a Best of Sacramento Award by Sacramento Magazine. Steelin’ Dan was inducted into the Sammies Hall of Fame in 2018. Steelin’ Dan has headlined shows at the Crest Theatre, the Harris Center, the Grass Valley Center for the Arts, the Sweetwater Music Hall, the Mystic Theatre, Yoshi’s, and the Sofia Theatre. The Steelin’ Dan Seven Piece Band features the Steelin’ Dan rhythm section, lead singer, and sax player and presents a unique take on the music of Steely Dan in a scaled-down format for smaller venues. ‘From “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number” to “Reelin’ In The Years” to “Do It Again,” The Steelin’ Dan seven Piece Band’s live performance takes the audience on a musical journey that inspires and entertains. The Midnight Players are an Old School R&B, Funk, Oldies & Latin band based in Sacramento, Ca. Originally formed in 1977, current founding members are Rudy Betancourt (Saxophones) and Michael Sellars (Keyboards) remain intact as the group to this day continues to perform to audiences that love to party to the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's dance grooves. Established as a household name in the Sacramento music scene - the Midnight Players have been attracting a large dedicated following of audiences to our events. They've opened for heavy hitting acts such as WAR, The S.O.S. Her year end “Blues and Bourbon” show was sold out. Since her arrival last year, Chrissie O’Dell has been wow-ing Sacramento audiences with her powerful soulful voice and undeniable stage presence. No stranger to performing, this New York native brings a few decades of blues singing experience with her. Growing up in a musical family (Mom was a drummer), Chrissie had been around music all her life but didn’t start singing herself until into her late 20’s. “I didn’t know I could sing” she says and although never formally trained to do so, she sure knows how to get a message across. Her nearly all original, independent release “If I Had a Dime” earned her a place on all three major national blues charts and spent 12 weeks there! She was also one of only four fan-voted winners in Blues Revue Magazine’s “Sponsor the Band” contest in 2011. The other three winners were Albert Castiglia, Chris O’Leary, and Charlie Musselwhite. Her newly-formed West Coast band, The Real Deal, are a five-piece high energy, lowdown blues band that provide the perfect pairing for Chrissie’s sweet, guttural phrasings. Featuring harpman, Dave Croall and drummer Pat “Ratatat” Balcom who are both former sidemen of the late great Johnny “Guitar” Knox “Ratatat” and saxophonist Marty Deradoorian (Luther Allison, Albert Collins), and original Little Charlie and The Nightcat’s bassist Liz Peel are all Sacramento Blues Society Hall of Fame members. With the ever shining Dave “Sunshine” Segal on guitar, together this band is on fire and worth seeing!
