Each pair of participants — the tiny musician and their parent/guardian — will be guided through an hour of educational play, gently structured so that the child can learn, families can bond, and everyone in the group can get to know one another in a fun and nurturing environment. During her undergraduate degree program she was able to travel internationally to Austria to perform in the Wind Youth Orchestra Project and to Montreal, Canada to participate in the summer Domaine Forgét program. She also participated in several wind band tours across the United States including a trip to perform in the IPFW Wind Ensemble at Carnegie Hall. These experiences broadened her understanding and appreciation both for music and the lovely people who create it. If you’re unable to attend a session, please inform the Academy team. YOUR CHILD WILL: Explore different musical genres and instruments Connect music to art, history, and culture Collaborate with other little rock stars Create new musical experiences Expand vocal range Compose short songs MEET THE INSTRUCTOR: Esther Coplin has traveled around the globe playing the flute for international and local audiences.
