What is Housemoot? Housemoot is a self-hosted, Rabbit Room-curated gathering held each autumn for local communities around the world to explore art, faith, and the beauty of God’s kingdom through rich conversation and meaningful connection.​ Housemoot isn’t just a web conference—it’s a launching point. Instead of passively filling your screen with ideas, we want to spark something real in your home, your circle, and your community. This bundle of resources is your catalyst: a feast of thoughtful resources meant to inspire, challenge, delight, and equip you as you gather with others. Housemoot includes:  Seven session videos curated by the Rabbit Room, exploring topics such as the artistry of the Bible, hospitality and community, the spirituality of asking questions, the renewal that comes through feasting, and more. Session Lineup For more information on sessions and an FAQ, visit https://www.rabbitroom.com/housemoot.  Frequently Asked Questions How do I access Housemoot? First, buy a ticket. All ticket holders will be sent a link (and a password) to the private Housemoot 2025 site before the site opens on Thursday, October 9, 2025. What do I need to do to plan my Housemoot? After you have purchased your ticket, the next steps are choosing a date and sending out invitations. Many people will create posters and flyers to help get the word out. To help with that effort, we have provided the Rabbit Room logo and Housemoot graphic on the Housemoot page (https://rabbitroom.com/housemoot) and in the Gathering Guide (sent out in late summer). Next, decide what the format for your gathering will be. Will it be a half-day? Full-day? Multi-day? How many lectures will you watch? What recipes will you cook? How much time will you allot for discussion and conversation? Will you take a walk together during the gathering? Make art together? It is all up to you!  When can I schedule my Housemoot? Housemoot is open from October 9, 2025 to the end of the year. Schedule your gathering whenever your community is available during that window. If no time during those months works for you, email andy@rabbitroom.com and we can help get you access to the materials for a different time. How long are the sessions? Most of the sessions are between 20-45 minutes.  Will we have access to the sessions before the site opens for planning purposes? Yes, we will send a private link with a folder that contains all of the videos to each ticket holder in advance so you can preview the videos ahead of time and ensure they’re a good fit for your community. You will also be able to access them through the Gathering Guide. Both of these will be available at some point in late summer. Are there suggested discussion questions for each lecture? There sure are. Each speaker will provide a handful of questions for follow-up discussions. You can find those in a pdf in the Gathering Guide (available in late summer). Will there be closed captions for the hearing impaired? Yes, the session videos will be hosted in Vimeo and YouTube and both services provide automatic captions. Will we be able to download the videos to our devices? Yes, just access the videos through Vimeo to download them. All ticket holders will be given a link to a folder on Vimeo.com. They are easily downloadable from that site. When does Housemoot end? The Housemoot site will be open until December 31, 2025. How do I buy a Mootkit? You can purchase a Mootkit as an add-on when you purchase your ticket or as a standalone purchase on the Housemoot ticket page on Universe.com. Mootkits are limited and contain magnetic poetry, beeswax candle + holder, Housemoot tea, Every Moment Holy print, a book on biblical hospitality, a custom coloring page by Stephen Hesselman, and a few surprise treats!
