The Amish Outlaws

Fri, Nov 14 at 8:00 PM
Mickey's Black Box

Event Information

Presented by Mickeys Black Box It is a little-known fact that most Amish practice a tradition similar to the Christian - Confirmation - and Jewish - Bar Mitzvah - called - Rumspringa - (literal translation: running around) in which Amish children at the age of 16 have an opportunity to live free of the strict Amish code of conduct before deciding if they want to come back and be baptized into the Amish church. Surprisingly, virtually all of the youths return. But sometimes they dont. Four out of the original six members of The Amish Outlaws were born and raised in Lancaster, PA and had a strict Amish upbringing. No electricity from land lines, no alcohol, no musical instruments, but their spirits were too wild for the Amish lifestyle. Please note this event is 21+

Fri, Nov 21 at 7:30 PM
Mickey's Black Box

Event Information

Presented by Mickey's Black Box The Tribute Band is a group of musicians that have come together to play the music of Old & In The Way, Jerry Garcias 1970s bluegrass band that included Peter Rowan, Dave Grisman, Vassar Clements, and John Kahn. Bluegrass music has rich history, and O&ITW was a classic band that opened the door to an entire new audience, namely Deadheads and others who would have never considered bluegrass as a listening choice. The music is still classic today! Matt Wenger plays guitar and sings lead and harmony. Our fiddle player, Robbie Mann, is currently playing and touring with The Plate Scrappers, a progressive bluegrass band out of Virginia. Robbie sings lead and harmony, also. Rob Parks plays bass and adds lead and harmony to our vocal effort. Joe Perloff plays mandolin. Supported by: The Dishonest Fiddlers

Small Town Titans

Sat, Nov 29 at 8:00 PM
Mickey's Black Box

Event Information

Presented by Big Fan Presents The Small Town Titans are an American rock n roll power trio from York, PA who love to constantly create, as well as play live. Gone is the notion that a rock band should only release 10 songs at a time every 2 years. In a world where music fans crave new content constantly, the Small Town Titans aim to deliver their brand of art all of the time, drawing inspiration from a newer wave of rock bands such as Highly Suspect and Royal Blood, and rock legends such as the Foo Fighters, Audioslave, and Deep Purple. Thanks to their efforts at taking matters into their own hands, STT can create and release songs, podcasts, live online concerts, and more with no rules. In a social media driven world, STT knows releasing quality, constant content is as important as playing great live shows. Supported by: Anthrophobia & Alex Lee Warner
