There are 18 tables, 8 bar seats and 8 church pew seats available for reservation. The remaining pew seats for this show are not reserved in advance. These seats are available on a first come/first served basis when doors open. Ticket reservations at The Bluebird Cafe are an agreement to pay the cover charge and applicable taxes/fees and to meet the $15.00 per seat food and/or drink minimum.Ticket holders may cancel their reservation for a full refund of the ticket price and applicable tax (excluding ticketing fees) if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled showtime. This audition is held for those who would like to perform on our Sunday Writers Night series, which takes place every Sunday evening at 8:00 pm. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST EITHER A) BE A MEMBER OF NSAI OR B) LIVE WITHIN 100 MILES OF NASHVILLE, TN TO BE ELIGIBLE TO AUDITION! PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU DO NOT MEET ONE OF THESE CRITERIA OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.You must be in line outside The Bluebird no later than 10:15 a.m. to check in. You will perform in the order you arrive. Please be on time, you will not be included in the audition if you arrive after 10:30 a.m.Plan to play one verse and one chorus of one original song that YOU wrote (or co-wrote.) Excessively long instrumental intros and endings are not to your advantage as you have about one minute of total time to audition. Due to the large volume of songwriters, and the size of the room, particularly with so many instruments, we insist that you do not bring anyone to wait with you in line or to watch your audition as space is limited.Please bring your own guitar with a strap (as you will be standing.) You can plug in or we can mic your guitar. If youre plugging in, please check your pickup battery! Thanks to Taylor, we have a house guitar, if needed. Thanks to Kawai, we have a house keyboard, which will be ready for your use. Please do not bring your own, as there is limited space and it WILL NOT be used!Absolutely NO BACKING TAPES! This sign-up page is for Open Mic performers ONLY. We have moved to online sign-ups for our Monday Open Mic show. In order to sign-up and participate, please add a slot to your cart when they become available at 11 AM CST. We have 18 slots open. In an effort to include as many writers as possible, we ask that participating songwriters not sign up for two consecutive Open Mic Night shows. Writers who are on the list must be at the club and have checked in with the host by 5:15pm on that Monday evening in order to perform. We will be honoring any existing Play Next Time stamps but will not be distributing any more. Please remember the following guidelines as they remain in place: Each participating writer will get the chance to play 1-2 original songs, solo or accompanied by no more than two others on stage. Drums and backing tracks are not allowed. We have a house Taylor Grand Pacific guitar and a Kawai digital piano (88-weighted keys) that are available to use. Each performer is able to bring one guest with them.Open Mic Nights are made possible by The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The RIAA recognizes the importance of The Bluebird Cafe as providing opportunities, not just to established writers and artists, but also to those who are developing their talents and their careers. More about RIAA here. Tickets for guests to attend Open Mic Night are not reserved in advance. These seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis when doors open. Please note that you may be seated with persons outside of your immediate party.
