<p>Paint returns from their sophomore EP, Gift Shop, with new single “Forever.” Having had Gift Shop peak at number 10 on the North American Community and College radio charts, receiving acclaim from the Line of Best Fit (UK) and Rolling Stone Australia and earning the support slot for The Lemonheads on the WA leg of their Australian tour, Paint are back in the studio. They are now set, for the first time, to travel interstate and tour their new music, but not before they play it live for the first time at home. With a lineup of their friends and some of the most exciting Perth bands in Gloss, Asami (playing their first show) and Fool Nelson (performing a DJ set), Paint are set to play their biggest headline show of the year at Mojos Bar, Fremantle on the 22nd of August.&nbsp;</p>

<div dir="ltr">To launch the release of their new single&nbsp;Mountains,&nbsp;Figurehead are hosting a one-off, &#39;MTV Unplugged&#39; style show at Mojos Bar, with support from local indi heavyweights Devon Street and King Blue.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><p>This will be a show like no other, with a two-piece string section accompanying the band to perform stripped back versions of their songs.</p><div dir="ltr"><br></div><p>Figurehead have developed their sound through extensively gigging around the West Australian Music scene and are currently on a roll following the release of their single&nbsp;Spark&nbsp;earlier this year.</p><div dir="ltr"><br></div><p>Their latest release, Mountains is equal parts emotionally charged and sonically packed, and contains a little something for everybody. &nbsp;While retaining their surfy, West Aussie alternative rock sound, Figurehead stretch dynamic ranges in Mountains and traverse the song with bold intention. Confident, infectious vocal melodies, airtight production and dynamic performances - Figurehead feel like they&rsquo;ve arrived.</p><div dir="ltr"><br></div><p>Mountains was recorded along with two other singles during a week-long stay at Tone City recording studio in Yalingup, with producer Sam Ford (Dice, Dear Sunday, Siobhan Cotchin). One could draw sonic comparisons to Australian indie contemporaries The Rions, South Summit or The Vanns on &lsquo;Spark&rsquo;- but the sound Figurehead have conjured on this recent release still feels wholly their own. With expansive instrumentation that fills up every corner of the track, the up-and-coming 6-piece sound like they are destined for festival stages on their latest single.</p>
