I&rsquo;ve done so much touring in the last couple of years, averaging about 100 shows a year, and it&#39;s become abundantly clear to me that this album <em>Awake</em> was a really vital part of so many people&rsquo;s lives and emotional journeys. I&rsquo;ve chatted to so many people about the wide-eyed exploration and optimism of the record, and how it still seems to find people at the exact right time that they need that kind of energy.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: center;">It&rsquo;s an album that seemed to change a lot of lives, including mine. I&rsquo;m looking forward to facing that, head on, and exploring what these songs mean to me and the audience today, 20 years on. Named one of the greatest Australian singers of all time by the Herald Sun, Katie has produced 29 albums throughout her career, with seven times platinum record sales under her belt and 29 ARIA award nominations that span diverse genres. In 2023 Katie was awarded &lsquo;Best Live Voice QLD&rsquo; in the National Live Music Awards.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Speaking on the significance of Jeff Buckley&rsquo;s Grace, Katie says:</p><p style="text-align: center;">&ldquo;In 1994, Jeff Buckley&rsquo;s seminal debut album Grace was released into the world. I was 17 and never had I heard a sound world like this, never had I heard a band that unique and never had I heard a voice that expressive, exploratory and exciting.</p><p style="text-align: center;">This album is the single biggest influence on my musical journey and was an enormous inspiration for my debut album Polyserena and my 29 subsequent studio albums.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I was lucky enough to see Jeff live in 1996 and it was honestly a transcendental experience and one of the greatest concerts I will ever see.</p><p style="text-align: center;">His integrity, unique sound and achingly honest lyrics have inspired me so deeply, and in the 30th anniversary of the Grace album, I am honoured to present this body of work with some of my favourite musicians and pay homage to a life changing album and a truly once in a lifetime artist.&rdquo;</p><p style="text-align: center;">Joining Katie as special guest on all VIC and Albury shows is Melbourne-based artist Georgia Fields.
