Hey Queens of Ottawa 🌈   We’re back for a third edition, after the success of the first two and all the amazing feedback we received, we just couldn’t miss Pride this time! So, mark your calendars: August 22nd at Club 27 for a special Pride edition dedicated to the LESBOQUEER community and their allies! Your love, your energy, your support, you’re the reason we’re coming back.For us, Ottawa isn’t just a stop on the map, it’s a real community that we’re proud to be part of. 🎶 On the lineup: House, Disco, Afro, Latin… and Arabic beats! Because we love diversity, in music and in our communities! DJ Del Pilar (OTT) Maya Tayara (MTL) DJ Sam (OTT/MTL) ++++ hot performers! WHO ARE WE? QUEEN & QUEER isn’t just some group from Montréal… we’re a queer travelling collective creating events in different cities to connect, uplift, and celebrate queerness wherever it lives. Ottawa has become a true second home for us. QUEEN & QUEER isn’t a big production, we’re just two passionate people, Sam & Maryline, working with zero public funding, creating safe, festive, and inclusive spaces for the lesboqueer community everywhere we’re welcomed. (And fun fact: one of us actually spends half their time in Ottawa, so yes, we really do feel at home here 💜) OUR MISSION Beyond creating festive and safe spaces for the Lesbo-Queer community and their allies, our mission is to highlight the talent of female artists, whether they’re DJs, dancers, or from the circus arts community. MUSIC IS THE ANSWER QUEEN & QUEER parties are safe spaces prioritizing LGBTQ2SIA+ women, non-binary people, and trans folks. Allies are welcome too! We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination: homophobia, sexism, transphobia, racism, or harassment have no place at our events.Our events are recognized for celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion. Vos encouragements, votre vibe, votre chaleur, c’est vous qui nous donnez envie de revenir. Pour nous, Ottawa est bien plus qu’une escale : c’est une vraie communauté. QUEEN & QUEER, ce n’est pas juste une organisation qui vient de Montréal … c’est une organisation itinérante queer qui parcourt plusieurs villes pour rencontrer, rassembler et faire briller la queerness, là où elle se trouve. Ottawa est devenue une véritable seconde maison pour nous!  QUEEN & QUEER, ce n’est pas une grosse organisation : c’est juste un petit groupe, composé de 2 personnes passionnées, Sam et Maryline, qui crée des espaces festifs, bienveillants et inclusifs pour la communauté lesboqueer, partout où on nous accueille… Nos soirées sont financées à 100% avec nos propres moyens, sans aucune subvention! Et pour la petite histoire… l’un des deux organisateurs passe la moitié de son temps à Ottawa. Alors, on se sent un peu chez nous ici 💜 NOTRE MISSION En plus de créer des espaces festifs et sécuritaires pour la communauté lesboqueer et leurs allié-es, notre mission est aussi de mettre en avant le talent des artistes femmes qu’elles soient DJs, danseuses, ou de la communauté circassienne.  MUSIC IS THE ANSWER Les soirées QUEEN & QUEER sont des espaces sécuritaires pour les femmes de la communauté LGBTQ2SIA+, personnes non binaires et personnes trans en priorité. Les allié-s sont les bienvenu-es! Tolérance zéro pour toutes formes de discriminations: homophobie, sexisme, transphobie, racisme, et comportements harcelants n’ont pas leur place dans nos soirées. Nos événements sont reconnus pour célébrer la diversité et promouvoir l'inclusion. Que tu aies 20 ou 60 ans, et quelles que soient tes origines culturelles, tu trouveras ta place parmi nous.
