Saskia & Steáfán
Event Information
Saskia from the UK, & Steáfán from Ireland, moved to Canada in 2007 with 3 children and over 800 instruments! After 22 years of playing together, and many sessions under their belt for other people, Steáfán & Saskia released their first duo album “Moorchild”. Their 2nd duo album "Splendid Isolation" is being released in March 2026. Between them, Saskia & Steáfán have played with thousands of artists both live and recorded, including Uriah Heep, Loreena Mckennit, Bjork, Depeche Mode, The Band of Hope (with Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick), SinÉ , The Afro-Celt Sound System, Oliver Schroer, David Newland (for his project Northbound Passage), and most recently Sultans of String, George Crotty, Robb Johnson, Kim Doolittle, Shannon Linton and Medusa Quartet. Both were inducted into the Music Hall of Fame in 2022 by Comhaltas for services to the preservation of Irish Traditional Music in Canada. Steáfán is currently the Comhaltas representative for North America. They have been session musicians on TV shows which include Relic Hunter, Earth Final Conflict, Murdoch Mysteries, Copper, Cabinet of Curiosities (Del Torro) and Friends (the one with Ross’s Wedding). Together they worked on developing the Celtic music for the hit Broadway show “Come from Away”. Steáfán is the author of bestselling books “The Bodhran Book” and “The Low Whistle Book”. With his other hat, Steáfán is a TD and sound/lighting tech for theatres (and a very useful person to have around).

BLUES WITH A WHOLE LOT OF SOUL! Stone Hall Sessions is pleased and proud to present Al Lerman - LIVE in Concert as the third concert in our 2026 Season. Back by popular demand for the fifth year. AL LERMAN is a veteran bluesman with a highly personal style. With a great knowledge of the blues tradition on both harmonica and guitar, he brings that sensibility to songs that he's written about his own contemporary life and times. His soulful delivery, coupled with wry and thoughtful songwriting, make him an engaging and hypnotic solo performer. He is considered among the top harmonica players in the country, and has been heard on countless recordings and live sessions. Al was founder of the much-loved band Fathead (1992-2016), garnering two JUNO AWARDS, and he is a long-time member of the renowned Maple Blues Band. A solid fixture in the blues & roots scene for over fifty years, Lerman has amassed an impressive legacy of songs along with a deserving list of industry awards & nominations. His latest album, Country Fried Blues was released in 2024. Check out Somebody Shoot That Rooster PLEASE NOTE: Advance Tickets are available online only until midnight Saturday, March 21.
