Allmusic.comAfter thirty years as one of the worlds leading Celtic Rock bands, The Young Dubliners have begun work on their tenth studio album (with longtime producer Irish-born Tim Boland) while still maintaining their busy tour schedule. They have returned to the road post-pandemic stronger than ever and determined to bring their fusion of Celtic and rock music to as many people as they can. The band is Keith Roberts (vocals / guitar), Chas Waltz (Violin, keys, vocals), Justin Pecot (guitar, vocals), Dave Ingraham (drums) and Ethan Jones (bass guitar). With a batch of incredible new songs and an undeniable energy, the band is excited to bring their show to festivals, theaters and clubs around the world. We want to be the band who reminds the world how important a good gig can be to our sanity after what weve all been through, says Roberts. For only the second time the band is looking to its fans to finance the album instead of a traditional record company. The business has changed so much over our lifetime that it no longer makes sense for us to take money from a label and then owe it all back, adds Roberts. Making all our supporters co-producers is a far more rewarding way to make a record and allows us to maintain control all the way. The Young Dubliners have released nine albums to date. In recent years, the band has appeared twice on ABCs Jimmy Kimmel Live, had songs featured in TV shows (Sons Of Anarchy, Human Target) and toured extensively as a headliner and as the opener for such a diverse list of artists as Collective Soul, Jethro Tull, Johnny Lang, Los Lobos and Chris Issak. Their musical journey has taken them from all-night North Carolina house parties to late night TV talk shows (Conan OBrien, The Tonight Show), from performing at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan to rockin out for the inmates at North Carolina correctional facilities. Theyve shared a stage with many musical luminaries including Link Wray, Loretta Lynn, Hasil Adkins and Patti Smith. Their music has been featured in movies and TV, parodied by Weird Al, and used to sell everything from diamonds to pork sausage. In 2014 the band was honored by the Southern Folklife Collection at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with an exhibition featuring their music and cultural contributions. The result is an album seamlessly melding modernity with nostalgia and played with a robotic tightness that remains deeply human. They are queuing up their third full length for fall 2025.YUUFYuuf is a band based in London, UK, that brings together a diverse ensemble of musicians hailing from 4 different countries. The group consists of Anthony Boatright (English) on bass, Hugo Cottu (French) on guitar, Oliver Overgaard (Danish) on drums, and Andrin Haag (Swiss) on handpan and percussion. Brought together by a shared passion for exploring global sounds, these artists fuse their cultural influences to create global psychedelia instrumental music. They blend elements of Motown, West African rhythms and ambient textures as well as many other genres to create their own sound.In the short span of one year, Yuuf recorded and produced their debut EP In The Sun which was released in June 2024.Silky Spring, the first single of the band, came out in late February and flew into the airwaves of BBC 6, KEXP, KRCW and other radio stations from the US, Spain, Switzerland and Denmark.

Its a place where we can meet for the Fourth of July, bring our families, grill some burgers, and make some music together. Its always going to be there, and we know its going to work and feel good. After more than 15 years together, four albums, and countless live shows, the five members have found new inspiration in the ties that bind them together as friends and collaborators, as something close to kin. That sense of comfort and commitment animates their new album, Roll It Out, lending it a quiet poignancy as they reflect on what it means to devote yourself to other peoplewhether its family, friends, audiences, or other guys in the tour van with you. Founded less as a band than as a neighborhood hang at Doores home on Deslonde Street, the band devised an anything-goes philosophy that allowed them to incorporate sounds they picked up on their travels and everything they heard at home: classic country, hobo folk, crust punk, rural blues, Third Ward jazz, rockabilly, rWe take turns giving each other somebody to lean on when its our turn and the freedom to express themself any way they want, says Riley Downing, who usually plays guitar and sings his own and others songs. That means we dont have a particular genre. Its a gumbo of all different genres and time periods. Everybodys literally into everything.DESIREE CANNONDesiree Cannon is a country folk musician based in Northern California who sings lonesome songs about love, truth and imagination. Influenced by the genres legends, such as Townes Van Zandt, Waylon Jennings, Lucinda Williams and Kiki Cavazos, Cannons music uses her voice and guitar to explore questions and observations of life. Her debut LP Beach Sleeper was released by The Long Road Society in 2018. Her forthcoming record Radio Heat, co-produced with New Orleans based musician and producer Sam Doores (The Deslondes), is set to release in February 2024 as a collaboration between The Long Road Society and Gar Hole Records.

The L.A.-via-Jersey guitarist born Steve Marion, whose credits include session work for Amen Dunes, Paul Simon, and Deradoorian, had no grand plan for making it: he would simply book some time at a friends studio, hunker down, and play. Hes always allowed intuition to guide him, composing his jubilantly tuneful instrumentals as he records them, but this time, he felt freer than ever to keep the seams showing, and dont polish everything, and keep it raw, and alive, and electric-feeling, he says. He chose the title, Lukes Garage, as a tribute to his pal and sometime collaborator Luke Temple, but also for the anything-goes adolescent innocence it conjured: the feeling of heading over to a buddys house, turning up the amps, and creating your own world.In the world of Lukes Garage, a passage of music that feels like a sketch in progress might open into a hook so finely wrought, so obviously right, that you have a hard time believing you havent heard it before. The two passages may in fact be one and the same. There are songs that feel destined to soundtrack memories of windows-down road trips, and those more suited to moments of hushed intimacy. A shadowy synth-pop excursion (Light of the World) veers into a candlelit soul ballad (Shall Be Free); a chugging garage-rocker (the title track, naturally) sets up an unexpected detour into slinky disco (There Goes My Baby). Delicate Steves unmistakable sensibility, his tone airy yet tactile, his lines full of poignant bends and whimsical asides, is a benevolent guide through the ever-shifting landscape, keeping a steady hand on the wheel no matter the surroundings. He has little interest in showing off, focusing instead on clarity, simplicity, and directnessmore like an openhearted pop songwriter than a look-what-I-can-do shredder.
