LIZZIE & THE BANSHEES

LIZZIE & THE BANSHEES

Fri, Sep 4 at 7:00 PM
Rebellion Manchester

Event Information

Stigmata Presents LIZZIE & THE BANSHEES  Plus Support Siouxsie and the Banshees were among the longest-lived and most successful acts to emerge from the London punk community, spanning a career that lasted more than two decades. Formed in London in 1976 by vocalist Siouxsie Sioux and bass guitarist Steven Severin. Initially associated with the English punk rock scene, the band rapidly evolved to create a form of post-punk discord full of daring rhythmic and sonic experimentation. The Times cited Siouxsie and the Banshees as one of the most audacious and uncomprimising musical adventurers of the post-punk era. Lizzie and the Banshees are the UK’s premier and most authentic tribute band to Siouxsie and the Banshees at the height of their success, providing that raw intensity the Banshees had, that revolutionised the music industry. Performing all over the UK and Europe since forming in 2012 and the band have been touring ever since. Four shows at the 100 Club in London including the 50th anniversary tribute to the 1976 punk festival. Tours of Germany including Cologne, Essen, Hameln and Hamburg. Shows in France including Rouen.  The visual interpretation with their hit after hit Siouxsie and the Banshees show succeeds perfectly in capturing the sound, look and feel of the Banshees. Expect Spellbound, Arabian Knights, Christine, Dear Prudence, Hong Kong Garden, Happy House, Cities in Dust and many more….

Currently comprised of Drew Richardson, Tollie Pugh, Hunter Senft, and Severin Olsen, the band have previously released one album and a string of singles and EPs.
