Uncover Music presents DBA! DBA! emerged from the gritty underbelly of Liverpool's music scene in early 2024. A band of misfits and odd parts that somehow crashed together and clicked into place. DBA! was birthed in a DIY demo studio tucked into the literal basement drain of a Liverpool nightclub. The damp and unorthodox space - rented in defiance of skeptical glances from peers - became a safe space where late night sessions gave way to the creation of their sound, blending 90s alternative rock, garage rock and indie, drawing from bands such as Eels, Pavement, The Breeders, Elastica and Beck. The name DBA! itself is a statement of intent, best left unraveled. It encapuslates an ethos: unpolished, introspective and weird. From their subterranean origins, the band wasted no time propelling themselves out into the open. Recording with engineer Sophie Ellis - a serendipitous collaboration after years of near-misses - the band honed a guitar driven sound laced with vivid & brooding lyricism. Their debut single 'sinkorswim' was released late 2024, achieving some extensive support from BBC Radio 6 tastemakers, such as Huw Stephens, Craig Charles & Emily Pilbeam where the track was made BBC introducing track of the week & achieved an 8/10 score on the roundtable show, with particular high praise from Abbie McCarthy. Their follow up 2 singles were met with strong radio support, including premieres on Huw Stephens' show and support from Tom Ravenscroft and John Kennedy, and even a spin of their track "D.P.D." from an all time hero of the band, Iggy Pop. The band's debut EP released in April 25 and was met with praise from outlets such as DORK magazine, who made the band the cover of their HYPE playlist, and awarded the EP a 4/5 star review. Other early press buzz came from outlets such as DIY, So Young, Rough Trade, Indie Is Not a Genre and Backseat Mafia where their unique chemistry and raw temperament was hailed. Live, the band started a the year playing more intimate shows across the UK, building up to a run of more prestigious slots in the past few months - supporting bands such as White Denim & Being Dead, headlining a packed Supersonic club show in Paris and joining the line up for Left of the Dial festival in Rotterdam. With more tours and releases on the horizon, DBA!'s story is just beginning to unravel.

Uncover Music presents Magnetic Skies Magnetic Skies are a UK synth-pop and darkwave band whose cinematic electronic sound blends vintage analogue textures with soaring modern songwriting. Formed by vocalist/keyboardist Simon Kent and keyboardist Jo Womar, the project began as a studio collaboration inspired by a shared love of 80s synth-driven post-punk and electronic pop. What started as an experimental recording partnership quickly evolved into a fully realised band, with drummer Lenin Alegria joining the line-up and helping translate the duo's atmospheric recordings into an immersive live experience. Magnetic Skies first built momentum through a series of EP releases during 2020, establishing a signature sound built around pulsing basslines, analogue synthesisers and emotionally charged vocals. Their music draws on the lineage of classic synthpop and new wave while embracing a darker, cinematic edge, resulting in a style that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking. The band released their debut album Empire Falling in 2023, marking their arrival as a major new voice in the UK's independent electronic scene. The record earned praise across specialist and alternative music press for its blend of darkwave atmosphere and melodic synthpop, helping the band reach a wider audience and leading to high-profile support slots with artists including Altered Images, Heaven 17, Empathy Test and Then Jerico. In 2025, Magnetic Skies returned with a run of new singles including A Place On Earth and Back To Life, previewing the band's second album Fragments. Released in November 2025, the album expanded the group's sonic palette while deepening their lyrical themes of connection, identity and modern dislocation. Produced by Simon Kent with additional production from Rob Aubrey, Fragments pairs expansive analogue soundscapes with anthemic choruses and emotionally resonant storytelling, further cementing the band's reputation for evocative, widescreen synth music. Since their emergence, Magnetic Skies have become known for atmospheric live performances that blend driving electronic rhythms with dynamic stage energy. Having previously toured the UK in support of their releases, the band now continue to build on the momentum of Fragments with new live shows across the country. With a growing reputation for crafting synth-driven songs that balance nostalgia with contemporary emotional depth, Magnetic Skies are steadily establishing themselves as one of the UK's most compelling modern electronic acts. In June 2026, the band return to the road for a series of intimate UK dates, bringing the cinematic soundworld of Fragments to audiences around the country.

Brudenell Presents... With support from - J. Robbins (Jawbox) Having already placed his indelible mark on the future direction of rock with Hüsker Dü, Bob Mould teamed with bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis to found Sugar in late 1991, making their live debut early the next year at Athens, GA’s famed 40 Watt Club. Named by NME as its 1992 “Album of the Year,” Sugar’s now-classic debut album, Copper Blue, immediately proved a sensation, earning worldwide acclaim and landmark status for the melodic strength and intensely cathartic popcraft of songs like “A Good Idea,” “Helpless,” and the alternative rock radio hit and MTV favorite, “If I Can’t Change Your Mind.” The trio quickly found themselves performing on increasingly larger stages, including a legendary show-stealing set at London’s Great X-pectations Festival in Finsbury Park. With the wind at their back, Sugar unleashed Beaster in 1993, making a momentous debut at #3 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart as well as at #4 on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” chart in the US. Though recorded during the same sessions that yielded Copper Blue, the six-song mini-album evinced a more visceral energy and dark melancholy than its predecessor, highlighted by such pulverizing expressions of sacrilegious fury as “Judas Cradle” and “JC Auto.” 1994’s second full-length LP, File Under: Easy Listening once again made an explosive arrival among the top 10 on the UK Official Albums Chart, this time landing in the upper reaches of the overall Billboard 200. The album saw Sugar pushing boundaries yet again on songs like the country-flavored “Believe What You’re Saying” and the incendiary “Gee Angel,” tackling a wider range of musical approaches without sacrificing their signature intensity and unrestrained power. Despite their successes, Sugar called it a day following a Japanese tour in early 1995. A series of live recordings, reissues, and anthologies served to magnify the band’s legacy over the three decades since, confirming Sugar as incontrovertible masters of high-volume guitar-fueled rock for the ages. The original members of Sugar reconvened in June 2025. The first new song in over three decades, “House Of Dead Memories”, was released on October 15, 2025, with live shows to follow in 2026. SUGAR has partnered with PLUS1 so that £2/€2 from every ticket sold goes to supporting AKT and their work providing support for LGBTQ+ young people who are experiencing homelessness; and the Amy Winehouse Foundation and their work helping young people to make informed choices about drugs and alcohol. https://www.akt.org.uk/about/ https://amywinehousefoundation.org/

Divergent promotions presents by arrangement with Napalm Starbenders are a rock-n-roll dream come true for every hard luck dreamer occupying this third stone from the sun. Singer/songwriter Kimi Shelter is the love child Johnny Thunders and Joan Jett should have had, raised with an impeccable education from Blondie Elementary School, Def Leppard High, Bowie College, and a Ph.D from Siouxie Sioux University in Fuck All Y’all. Aaron Lecesne brings ripping bass lines, vivid musicality, fashionista chic, and lightning rod stage energy. Kriss Tokaji is the literal embodiment of a Guitar Adonis whose fretboard mastery easily places him at the pinnacle of today’s young guns, a legend in the making. This band has toured the world with everyone from Alice In Chains to Palaye Royale, destroying the entire house every time. They’ve issued twenty-six releases in eight years - singles, EPs, and LPs, including their 2020 full-length, Love Potions, for Sumerian Records. Another album’s worth of new material is currently awaiting release. With a work ethic as relentless as their fabulous vision, there is much more magic yet to come.

Brudenell Presents... The Bug Club are back with a new album. It’s been a whole seven months since their last. Where have they been? Every Single Muscle, the band’s fifth LP, arrives May 29th, 2026 via Sub Pop, making it a hat-trick for the Welsh duo and their esteemed Seattle-based patrons. Since Very Human Features, which emerged in June of 2025, the non-stop tour has seen the BBC 6 Music and KEXP favourites ping-pong across the Atlantic like they used to the Severn Bridge. Various festival slots in the summer kept them from having any sort of holiday - who needs one when you live in Wales anyway? - until it was time to head back to the writing room. So that answers that first question. Not that you’d have otherwise known. Ever self-effacing, songwriters Sam (guitar, vocals) and Tilly (bass, vocals) go as far as to claim that they’ve been sitting around ‘doing nothing at all’ during track ‘It’s Our Manager David’. That’s clearly a lie. Every Single Muscle gets off to a full-throttle, chugging start with Miss Wales 2012, referencing a competition both Tilly and Sam have actually won. Dead serious. It’s the first of many sub-two-minute tracks on the album, setting the tone for The Bug Club’s punkiest offering yet and recalling both the short, sharp snaps of their very first singles and the grunt of recent releases. So packed is the album with wall-to-wall riffs and lyrical hooks rammed into tight confines that Sam actually asks permission to squeeze in a solo during second track ‘A Good Day For Dying’. He’s given two seconds. Not that we’re short-changed though, because Sam asks again later on and is granted more. Across eighteen tunes there’s enough classic Sam/Tilly guitar interplay to satisfy even the most vociferous Bug Club club member and firmly refute the band’s own claim that they are only ‘just about technically proficient on our instruments’. ‘Full Range of Motion’ has a choppy rhythm that sits atop drummer Tom’s tight beat and serves to remind us all of Minutemen, for a minute. ‘Make It Count’ brings sweet melody and call and response, while ‘All My Clothes Fell Off’ allows for a slower paced ballad that builds to a crescendo that would not be out of place in the world of classic rock. ‘Cut To Black’ combines a Sparks-esque falsetto and Tilly’s melodic bass playing with a rhythm something close-ish to what Klaus Dinger used to do for Neu! And closer ‘My Uncle Warren Drives A Passat’ sees them doing a bit of a left turn and swapping out guitars for keys. This record’s an exercise in efficient maximalism - the musical equivalent of your dad packing the car for a holiday. Bring what you like; space is tight but they’ll get it in there somehow. On to the words, because with these guys those are important. While Very Human Features did an excellent job of pointing at everyday things and highlighting their absurdity, on Every Single Muscle The Bug Club look more closely at themselves. Not so much in an introspective way, though. More in a way an alien might probe a captive specimen on an intergalactic gurney. Horror movies get their ‘body’ subgenre, now garage rock albums get theirs too. Self-interested in an entirely new sense of the term, the human form and condition is prodded and inspected from every angle throughout the course of the album. ‘Look Like Me’ sees them singing about their own appearance, while on ‘How Can We Be Friends’ they are preoccupied with others’. ‘Every Single Muscle’ itemises organs as if they belong on a shopping list, and both ‘Make It Count’ and ‘Pretty As A Magazine’ bemoan the fact people don’t know what to do with their own bodies. Altogether, we get a sense of surreal detachment from the self that sets up the ever-present ennui-laden humour; the last song sees Sam announce he’s ‘bored of being human’. The Bug Club seem almost suspicious of the concept of being a person - as if they’ve woken up in a costume they didn’t want to put on and cannot take off. Initially comprising the songwriting core of Sam Willmett (vocals/guitar) and Tilly Harris (vocals/bass) with Dan Matthew (drums), The Bug Club started plying their trade in 2016. They were signed by UK label Bingo Records in Autumn 2020 and first single 'We Don’t Need Room For Lovin’ was released in February 2021, followed by EP Launching Moondream One. It quickly established The Bug Club as the tongue-in-cheek and live-focused antidote to the previous year’s penned-in pandemic drudgery. BBC 6 Music’s Marc Riley was an early champion. Pure Particles followed, whose vinyl release included a board game brimming with cult references. Fed up with the conventional approach they then released ‘Intelectuals’: a standalone track that was actually a five-track ‘song suite’ like some kind of streaming-model-snubbing, Telecaster-bashing answer to Bach. Highbrow musos took a lyrical beating for the ages. Second standalone release ‘Two Beauties’ marked release number two for 2022 and built up to the appearance of debut album Green Dream in F# by October. The following January they decided to pull their fingers out, get some disguises and support themselves on tour as Mr Anyway’s Holey Spirits. A live album documented this, then they got abstract with titles and put out picture disc Picture This!. By the autumn of 2023 it was time for forty-seven track, poetry-infused double album Rare Birds: Hour of Song. During a trip to America they caught the eye of Sub Pop, just in time to get them on board to serve up a beefy slab of garage-punk on On The Inner Workings Of The System, gaining an appropriately beefed-up stateside following in the process. The partnership proved fruitful, and with Sup Pop firmly in The Bug Club club they got cracking on Very Human Features. Is three the magic number? Probably not. But Every Single Muscle - number three for The Bug Club and Sub Pop - certainly comes close enough to convince your average strange human person that it might be.

Get ready to scream like it's 1999! Boyband in the Buff is the ultimate throwback concert - starring pop heartthrob Gareth Gates and a cast of ripped and ridiculously talented performers. It's a celebration of pop, passion, and pecs, where the clothes come off and the heat turns up. This is the ultimate night out for anyone who's ever swooned over a boyband. Warning: Contains tight harmonies and tighter pants. (At least, for the first few numbers.)

“This is uh, C.W. Stoneking, an Australia artist who sounds like he’s 600 years old, he’s much younger actually, but he’s got a style all his own” - Tom Waits, BBC 6 Radio 2023 C.W. Stoneking is an Australian/American singer, musician, recording artist. Born in Katherine in the Northern Territory of Australia in the mid 1970s. He has lived and toured across Australia, the UK, Europe, and the U.S.A. He has independently released 3 critically acclaimed original full length albums, King Hokum, Jungle Blues, and Gon’ Boogaloo. He’s performed extensively internationally with various backing band lineups and as a solo performer, the instrumentation of his musical groups and recordings mirror the stylistic inspirations of his songwriting, New Orleans style brass and drums, Traditional African, Caribbean style percussion, early 20th century blues, jazz, and American folk styled guitar and banjo, gospel inspired electric guitar and background singing… C.W. Stoneking’s music and lyrics draw inspiration from a wide spectrum of musical styles and traditions which he combines to create his own unique sound. “There are multitudes in Stoneking’s music. It’s probably easiest to describe him as a ‘blues artist,’ but the term disguises what makes his music special. There’s so much in there. 1920s pre-war blues..New Orleans jazz..jug band music..hokum..country..calypso..jump jive..earlyrock’n’roll..gospel.. His gift is that he brings them all together without anything sounding out of place. He finds the strands that connect all of these different styles and gently braids them together.” - Jim Hickson , fRoots Magazine 2018 “If I could ever trade my speaking voice with a person, it would be C.W Stoneking. He just sounds like he's from a ghost ship in the middle of monster island to me. It's just beautiful.” - Jack White, Double J 2018

eastside present SISTERS DOLL plus guests Wednesday 3rd June 2026 Newcastle - Head of Steam Doors 7pm Sisters Doll are a powerhouse quartet of brothers bound by blood and driven by rock ’n’ roll. Hailing from the mining town of Collie in Western Australia and now based in Melbourne, the band has carved out a strong reputation with their signature melodic rock sound, high-voltage live shows, and unmistakable style. From intimate club gigs to festival stages, their energy is undeniable — including a standout performance in New York City that left a lasting impression. Since forming in 2010, Sisters Doll have built an impressive resume, including a national spotlight on Channel Nine’s Australia’s Got Talent. They've shared stages with rock royalty such as KISS, Extreme, Peter Criss, Ace Frehley, Bruce Kulick, LA Guns, The Angels, Short Stack, Rose Tattoo, and The Screaming Jets — proving they can hold their own among the legends. Their dedication has earned them both critical acclaim and a fiercely loyal global fanbase known as the Doll Army. With every performance, Sisters Doll continue to raise the bar — combining theatrical flair, raw musicianship, and undeniable passion. After a rave-success debut on the legendary Monsters of Rock Cruise out of Miami — where they were widely regarded as one of the standout acts on the ship — the band continues to grow their international footprint. The band returned to the fan-favourite Rock the Boat Vol. 2 cruise after a show-stealing run in 2024. Their 2025 UK tour marked a major milestone, culminating in a knockout performance at the Call of the Wild Festival. The impact was so strong that they've already been invited back to headline several UK festivals in 2026, further cementing their rising star status in the global rock scene. With five #1 rock singles in Australia and a Top 10 ARIA-charting album for their latest release Scars, Sisters Doll are proving they’re not just here for the moment — they’re here for the legacy. Welcome to the Dollhouse. Are you ready to play?

Skinner is Aaron Corcoran, based in Dublin, who writes, records and produces songs about growing up and overcoming a dirt-flecked 21st century existence. The DNA of no wave and post-punk acts like The B52s, James Chance and the Contortions and ESG through to alt-rock touchstones Pixies and Morphine combined with an talent for grunge-nodding self-production and pockets of elevated instrumentation is oozing from Skinner’s music. Debut album New Wave Vaudeville, released January 2025 on Faction Records, references the New Wave Vaudeville music variety freak show that took place at the 57 Club in New York from 1978 to 1983. The club was known for its free-form art shows, a debaucherous wild riposte to creeping commerciality of modern culture of the time, an era that perfectly reflects the rambunctious nature Skinner has brought to this new collection.

JIMMY CARPENTER- MULTI BLUES MUSIC AWARD WINNER HORN PLAYER EXTRAORDINAIRE Jimmy Carpenter is one of the most electrifying performers on today’s blues and soul circuit, known for turning every show into a full-throttle celebration of rhythm, groove, and raw emotion. A master saxophonist with a voice steeped in Southern grit, Carpenter blends deep blues roots with New Orleans R&B, Memphis soul, and hard-driving funk. His performances are powered by explosive horn lines, infectious rhythms, and a magnetic stage presence that demands attention from the first note to the last encore. Backed by a tight, road-hardened band, Carpenter delivers songs that are equal parts heartfelt and high-energy—music made to move bodies and lift spirits. Whether leaning into slow-burning blues, swaggering soul grooves, or dance-floor-shaking funk, he brings authenticity, passion, and a relentless commitment to the live experience. This is not a sit-back-and-watch show; it’s a stand-up, shout-along, feel-it-in-your-bones night of music. The saxophonist/ singer/ songwriter is a perennial favourite at the annual Blues Music Awards in Memphis, having been voted in the “Best Instrumentalist/Horn” category with seven nominations and two wins. His most recent release (2024), Just Got Started, on Gulf Coast Records, opened to rave reviews, debuting at #3 on Apple Blues, and #10 on the Billboard Blues Chart and in 2025 Jimmy received his 10th Blues Music Award nomination for Best Instrumentalist/Horn (he won in 2021 and 2022.) A professional musician since 1980, He has toured the world with Tinsley Ellis, Jimmy Thackery, Walter Wolfman Washington, Eric Lindell, and Mike Zito. He is also President of the Las Vegas Blues Society. ‘Jimmy Carpenter continues to be a stand-out artist in the contemporary Blues genre. His songwriting is on point and his voice is front and center,” says Gulf Coast president Mike Zito. “Arguably one of the best sax players around.’ “Jimmy Carpenter is truly one of the world's great rock and roll, Blues, and soul saxophone players. Pure heart and soul mixed with amazing energy !!” - Walter Trout, October 2019 “...a vocal performance of timeless beauty, confirming Carpenter as one of the most complete and versatile artists of the Blues, Soul, and Blues/Rock contemporary music scene’’ - Gio Pilato, Bluebird Reviews Brian Rawson Band The Brian Rawson Band is a hard-driving blues and roots-rock outfit built around the raw, emotive guitar work and commanding vocals of Brian Rawson. Drawing from the deep well of classic blues while embracing the grit and urgency of modern rock, the band delivers music that is both timeless and immediate. At the heart of the band’s sound is Rawson’s expressive guitar style—earthy, soulful, and unafraid to cut loose—supported by a tight rhythm section that knows when to dig deep and when to leave space for the songs to breathe.

A 5 day canoe and wild camping adventure through the lochs and canals of Scotland from Fort William on the west coast to Inverness on the East coast. You’ll paddle under the helpful eye of a local guide and you will wild camp along the way. You’ll get the opportunity to learn new canoe skills or consolidate what you already know. With stunning scenery, campfire cooking, myths and legends and lots of fresh Highland air, this is a very special adventure. Maximum capacity is 7 people (with 1 guide). All will travel in shared double Canadian open-topped canoes. Day 1 – Fort William to Gairlochy (10km) After meeting in Inverness we will drop you off in Fort William and then take the scenic route to Banavie, the start point of our expedition. With help from your guide, we’ll carefully pack the canoes and have a practice paddle in the canal basin. Once everyone is happy with steering a fully laden canoe we will paddle around 10km towards Gairlochy to find a remote campsite to enjoy our first night well away from the bustle of Fort William. Day 2 – Gairlochy to Loch Oich (25km)Much of the day is spent paddling the length of Loch Lochy. Hopefully the prevailing south-westerly wind is blowing and we can rig an improvised sail to speed us along. At the head of the loch we pass through Laggan Locks then paddle a two mile section of canal which takes us into the magical Loch Oich. Here we will change down a gear towards the end of the day and take our time exploring the lovely wooded bays of the loch while we look for a private and wild camping spot. Day 3 – Loch Oich to Alltsigh (24km)As we leave Loch Oich we are in for a treat. The River Oich runs side by side with the canal from here along to Fort Augustus, so we make the most of having a current to help us along for a while. Watch out for the interesting little grade 2 rapid, though! A decent lunch stop in the lovely little tourist-friendly village of Fort Augustus will give you the chance to visit a few shops for the first time on the trip and also to visit the Caledonian Canal Museum (a must see). On leaving the village we face the daunting prospect of tackling the 36km of Loch Ness. A monster loch in more ways than one. A third of the way up Loch Ness we will look for somewhere to camp for the night on the quiet Eastern shore and cook our dinner on the beach while Nessie spotting. Day 4 – Alltsigh to Dores (22km)A full day on Loch Ness today. It can get pretty tough going if there is a strong wind blowing – due to the sheer size of the loch it is possible (though rare) to get up to 3ft waves forming. Good job you are in expert hands then! In normal conditions this is a lovely leisurely paddle and we may well have time to land at the dramatic Urqhuart Castle for photo opportunities, and a look around the Historic Scotland visitor centre. In the evening we finally reach the head of the loch and find a campsite nearby. Looking back down the full length of Loch Ness, stunning sunsets are common, and celebrating our last night together and the friendships made. Day 5 – Dores to Inverness (10km)The hustle and bustle of the city looms ever closer this morning as we leave Loch Ness behind, travel through the picturesque little Loch Dochfour, negotiate the last canal lock of the journey at Dochgarroch (lots of “ochs” in this part of the world), then paddle through rolling farmland and into Inverness, Capital of the Highlands. Our finishing point is at Muirtown Locks on the edge of the city sometime round about mid day. It usually takes a while to unpack the canoes and to sort out the kit. Once this is done, we will transport you in to the town centre train station where we will leave you with a big bag of smoky, sweaty clothes and an even bigger bag of awesome memories. WHAT’S INCLUDED? Tent Waterproof jacket and trousers (if required) Inflatable sleeping mat Cutlery, mug, bowl, plate Shared double canadian canoe Paddle Buoyancy aid Waterproof barrel for personal kit Portage trolleys Food and soft drinks Sleeping Bag hire available for £20 - Sleeping Bag with a compression stuff sack (3-4 season recommended). BOOKING Please only book your travel arrangements once we have confirmed your booking. The capacity of this trip is 7 people. Minimum age 18. Maximum weight restriction of 18 stones (114kg). We need at least 4 people for this trip to run. We will let you know once this trip is confirmed. INSURANCE We appreciate that totally unforeseen events may result in a need for you to cancel. We therefore advise that you take out insurance against cancellation costs as this trip is non refundable. START POINT Meeting at 9am you will then be driven from the start point to Fort William to begin your adventure (aprox 2 hour drive). We pick up from here as transport to Inverness is often easier and cheaper and also as a back up in case the wind changes direction and we need to start the adventure in Inverness. At the end of the week you will then be dropped off back into the centre of Inverness after unpacking the canoes and sorting out your kit. Usually by 3pm but exact timings can vary. FAQs When should I book onward travel from? Not until after 5:00 PM at the earliest. Storage of Excess Luggage Should it be necessary we can store anything that you don’t need or want to take along on the expedition and return it to you when we collect you on the final day. You will decant your things into a 60-Litre barrel (about the size of an expedition rucksack), so it is best to organise your kit in a few smaller drybags that can be squeezed in, because you are unlikely to be able to fit in your rucksack or duffle-bag. Information about toilets Just in case you are wondering, you will normally have access to a proper toilet once a day on this trip, but that isn’t guaranteed. You do therefore need to come prepared to go natural when required. Tent Sharing Solo tents by default for solo travellers. You won’t be asked to share a tent with a stranger, but where possible we ask that if you are travelling with friends or family, that you share a tent. This is not essential, but sometimes it can help us squeeze into smaller, wilder campsites when we have fewer tents. Is there a weight limit? For comfort and safety reasons, unfortunately we are not able to accommodate people over 18 stone (115 kilos) on this trip. What if I need to leave the expedition earlier than planned? Occasionally, participants may need to leave an expedition earlier than planned for various reasons. Although rare, when such occasions do arise, your hosts can generally arrange for you to be collected and returned to Inverness. This is subject to being able to reach an accessible location and the availability of a vehicle and driver, so it might not be immediate. Your host reserves the right to charge £150 to collect an individual (with those travelling with them) and return them to Inverness; this extra charge covers staff time and the use of a vehicle & fuel. Your host will be happy to provide a receipt for this, should you require it for insurance claim purposes and we recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover holiday cancellation costs or instances like those described above. You are more than welcome to make your own arrangements to leave if necessary, however, please be aware that this trip operates in some very remote locations, and taxis/public transport are not always readily available. Who will guide the expedition? Our expedition will be led Secret Adventures’ trusted guiding partner for the Canoe Across Scotland journey. Their experienced, qualified outdoor leaders will accompany the group throughout the adventure, ensuring expert guidance, local knowledge, and a safe, inspiring experience from start to finish.

The first album 'Turning To Ashes' was released back in January of 2021. Coming out of the gate, the music was a hit. The second album 'Between The Lines' was released in December of 2021. The band released their third studio album in January of 2024. Line-up: Stephanie Wlosinski – Lead Vocals / Bass Mike Bress – Guitar / Keys Cory Michalski - Drums This event is 16 and over. From Kyiv to the Kosmos Originally from Leeds, Cossack folk-punk pioneers The Ukrainians have brought Ukrainian music and culture to the attention of the West. From their origin in the late 80’s, the band have been fusing Ukrainian Roots with Western Rock and taking this new style of music all over the globe (and beyond!). Starting in a Leeds bedsit, Peter and Len from the band will be telling their story - a journey that includes The Wedding Present, John Peel, RCA records, the Russian Mafia, the international space station, and sadly, lots of recent charity benefit concerts for the victims of war. Expect a dynamic mix of tales, acoustic songs, and images. The book - ‘From Kyiv to the Kosmos’ - is written and compiled by the band’s Peter Solowka and Len Liggins, It celebrates their 35-year career. With over 250 full colour images, the book is packed with stories from current & former band members along with fans, friends and musical collaborators, including David Gedge (The Wedding Present), Jan Wobble (Invaders of the Heart, PiL), Andrew ‘Whitey’ White (Kaiser Chiefs), TV Smith (The Adverts) and Shaun Charman (Jetstream Pony, The Wedding Present). There’s also a story from the cosmos itself, with a contribution from NASA astronaut Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper, who took The Ukrainians’ music to the International Space Station. “I can only salute The Ukrainians for showing their complete commitment to the country and people they love” (TV Smith, The Adverts) “Even if you know nothing about them – and they’re not even singing in English – it still works because it’s such a great sound” (David Gedge, The Wedding Present) “What The Pogues had done for Irish music, The Ukrainians were doing for us Slavs: mixing folk and punk" (Waldemar Januszczak, art critic) “I love the fact that ‘I Predict A Riot’ has been ‘Ukrainianed’!” (Andrew ‘Whitey’ White, Kaiser Chiefs) This event is 16 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 16 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund.

Seventy-five years before the Broadway musical, the true story of jazz-loving murderess Roxie Hart was brought to the silent screen by legendary Hollywood producer Cecil B. DeMille. After slaying her lover, Roxie Hart teams up with an unscrupulous lawyer, Billy Flynn, and fellow murderess Velma Kelly, to milk her trial for publicity and become famous. A cracking satire on fame and the media, Cecil B. DeMille’s film is as sensational as the real-life scandal on which it’s based. Acclaimed silent film pianist Jonny Best returns to Brewery Arts to perform a live soundtrack at the Steinway piano.Thursday 4 June | 7.30pm | Theatre

Bad Brooks Launches Solo Show "Stories from Broadway" – An Intimate Evening of Stories and Songs. Norwegian-born country artist Bad Brooks, known as "The Arctic Cowboy," is stepping away from the big festival stages and into a more intimate format. In his new solo show "Stories from Broadway," audiences meet the artist alone on stage – with his guitar, honest stories, and acoustic versions of his songs. Since 2018, Bad Brooks has established himself as one of the most exciting new voices in Norwegian country music. With energetic live shows, strong songs, and a clear identity as "The Arctic Cowboy," he has made his mark on festivals and stages across the country. Now it's time to let audiences get even closer. In the new solo show "Bad Brooks – Stories from Broadway," audiences are invited behind the curtain. This isn't about pyro, full bands, and big productions – but about the stories behind the songs, life on the road, and the people he's met along the way. – I've always loved telling stories between songs, and I notice that people really listen when I share a bit more than just the music. This show is my way of giving audiences an evening where they get the whole story – both the songs and the life around them, says Bad Brooks. Throughout the evening, audiences will hear acoustic versions of songs like Bad Business, Open Road, The Real Thing, og What Do I Do With Me, combined with stories about: - the journey from the west coast of Norway to the country music scene - trips to Nashville and Broadway - unforgettable (and some completely unpredictable) experiences on tour - the people who have inspired both the lyrics and the artist's life Refferals: "This is the most personal version of Bad Brooks audiences have ever seen." "Stories from Broadway is like sitting at the same table as the artist – just with an entire room listening."

Marrapalooza present LOS CAMPESINOS! plus support Friday 5th June 2026 Newcastle: Northumbria University Students Union Doors 7pm LOS CAMPESINOS! return to the North East for their first Newcastle performance since 2017 as part of Newcastle's Marrapalooza Festival."LC! demonstrate once more that they are masters of drilling down into the minutiae of life, spotting the danger ahead, while remaining powerless to make better choices."The Skinny "The astonishing amount of care and detail that went into All Hell might just be the result of seven and a half years of creation, or maybe it’s Los Campesinos! giving us an album big enough to live in case it needs to last a lifetime." PitchforkThe UK’s first & only emo band, Los Campesinos! have become one of the most important and influential cult acts in the country since they formed in the mid-2000s. Starting out in the Cardiff indie scene and soundtracking Budweiser adverts, the seven-piece’s musical evolution since then has been slow, steady and remarkable. From the frenzied chaos of debut album Hold On Now, Youngster… (2008) through 2010 breakthrough Romance is Boring and the self-mythologising of latter day highlights NO BLUES (2013) and Sick Scenes (2017), their discography is an interconnected web of niche references, big swings and unflinching honesty. Making self-professed sleeper hits for weeping dipshits, they’re as influenced by The Beautiful South as they are US emo, with emotional intensity and connection always at the core. Their lyrics are a treasure trove of football references, tales of romantic woe and painfully frank exorcisms, which have been tattooed across hundreds of fans’ bodies and served as comfort and insight during that break-up you had (there’s a reason the band’s tagline is “your ex-girlfriend’s favourite band”).
