For Nordic Giants the performance is the thing, and as those who have seen the live show will attest, it is a visceral experience that goes beyond the normal descriptors. Each mind-blowing performance involves a selection of hand picked short films, which are soundtracked live with atmospheric soundscapes. Two mythical creatures create an experience with bowed guitar, piano that is both haunting and rousing, topped with climactic and thunderous drums and trumpet. Nordic Giants have spent the last decade bringing their own formula of claustrophobic cinema clatter to a selection of unusual locations across the country; from disused Victorian music halls to converted seaside bandstands. AGMP Concerts presents STEVE WHITE TRIO Steve White - Chris Hague - Joel White Legendary drum master Steve White of The Style Council, Paul Weller, Trio Valore and more announces tour dates with his new band launching his latest album 'Soul Drums' (Acid Jazz Records). Steve White came to fame as drummer with The Style Council appearing on the majority of the band's recordings throughout the 1980's and touring around the world including appearing at 'Live Aid' in 1985. When the Style Council broke up Steve White co-founded his own group with saxophonist Alan Barnes - The Jazz Renegades - who were one of the first bands from the 'Acid Jazz' movement. Steve went on to perform with Galliano, The Young Disciples, JTQ and more around that time. Steve White joined the Paul Weller Movement in 1991 and continued to record and perform with Paul Weller throughout the first few decades of his solo career. Steve White has recorded albums with Mick Talbot from the Style Council as Talbot/White and the Players group with Mick Talbot and Damon Minchella. 2008 saw Steve form the highly acclaimed Trio Valore with Damon Minchella and in 2015 Damon & Steve formed The Family Silver with ex-Mother Earth vocalist Matt Deighton. Standard Theatre Seated Grammy-nominated innovators Manu Delago (handpan) and Max ZT (hammered dulcimer) come together in a bold new duo that reimagines the sonic possibilities of their instruments. Drawing from a lifetime of global collaboration, deep improvisation, and refined compositional craft, the two virtuosos create immersive, meditative soundscapes that unfold with both delicacy and drive. “Hearing Manu for the first time blew me away. There was the obvious virtuosity, but the way that he was composing and thinking about his instrument in an unusual and unique way really stuck out to me and made me feel like this was a connection that needed to be developed further” explains Max ZT. The duo met almost 10 years ago when Manu Delago was touring in the US. “Originally we started with improvisation, but over the years we developed various compositions. Last year we finally found the perfect time and space to record the music, in an amazing 18th-century space in an even older monastery in the Alps. A duo facing each other where both members had just turned 40? We had to call the album Deuce” remembers Manu Delago. Manu has played drums and handpans with diverse artists such as Björk, Anoushka Shankar, The Cinematic Orchestra and performed as soloist with the Metropole Orkest and London Symphony Orchestra. In his multi-award winning album and film ‘Parasol Peak’ Manu Delago leads an ensemble of seven musicians on a mountaineering expedition in the Alps. In 2021 the adventurous musician and composer launched the ReCycling Tour, a sustainable concert tour by bicycle, on which his band & crew cycled 1500 kilometers across Europe. Max, hailed by NPR as “The Jimi Hendrix of the Hammered Dulcimer,” has redefined the instrument through a lifetime of global study and innovation. Based out of Brooklyn, he has absorbed diverse traditions, apprenticing with Senegal’s revered Cissoko Griot family and studying under the legendary Pandit Shivkumar Sharma in India. A founding member of House of Waters, Max has scored an Emmy-winning ESPN documentary and released eight albums on Snarky Puppy’s GroundUP Music label. His latest album, On Becoming, was nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards. Manu Delago and Max ZT will release their debut album Deuce in early 2026. Standard Theatre Seated In 2022, Danny Kyle award-winning global folk band Mishra began a new cross-cultural collaboration with international fusion vocalist Deepa Shakthi. The resulting album ‘Turn O Spinning Wheel’, released in October 2025, is brimming with multilingually reimagined folk songs, new compositions, and swirling Celtic melodies underpinned by hypnotic qawwali grooves. Mishra, who has extensively toured the UK and had BBC Radio 2 airplay for their two previous albums, draws from UK folk roots and an instrumental palette including low whistle, tabla, banjo, clarinet, and double bass. Deepa Shakthi (formerly Deepa Nair Rasiya) has a vast repertoire of songs from the Indian subcontinent and over 30 years of experience performing in cross-cultural projects, which has seen her work with Opera North, Kuljit Bhamra, London Contemporary Voices, and even Ravi Shankar and George Harrison on the album ‘Chants of India’. Having first crossed paths in 1991 during extensive tours with their bands Neds Atomic Dustbin and Power of Dreams, Dan on drums for the Neds and Craig as the charismatic frontman of POD, their shared passion for music has now culminated in a thrilling new project. Dublin born singer/songwriter Craig Walker began his recording career whilst still in his teens with the acclaimed Dublin band Power of Dreams. The band continued with two further albums Are you normal ? and Brainbloodvolume and the popularity continued with television, film and radio coverage. Throughout the 1990s the band toured extensively around the world before splitting in 1995. TRY TAG Mixed Camp Our TRY TAG camp is aimed at boys and girls in KS1 (ages 4–6) and KS2 (ages 7–10) who want to try something new. Everyone should have the opportunity to live healthy and active lives, so our TRY TAG camp offers the chance to inform and inspire young people to fall in love with rugby, physical activity, and creative play, all whilst having fun. A day in the life of a TRY TAG camp consists of fun games, drills, educational elements and challenges incorporating a range of sports, most notably TAG rugby! DEVELOP Rugby Camp Experience the local sports facilities at Lydney RFC, meet the coaches, learn new skills and develop yourself, whilst having fun, with friends and other rugby lovers. What's not to like!? Our development camps are perfect for those who are passionate about rugby and are eager to develop their skills, learn new knowledge and have a fantastic rugby-filled day! An appreciation to the Allman Brothers Band, a trip to remember! One of the pioneers of Southern Rock are reignited and celebrated with energetic honesty by Scotland’s “mercurial & psychedelic” Safehouse + a host of Edinburgh’s finest musical additions join them in The Allmans Project. Badcore Horns are a trio of time travelling warriors of sound from the year 2079.
