Event Information

Are you ready to strip away your insecurities and step into a bold realm of self-discovery? This unapologetically inclusive nude experience challenges you to confront vulnerability and take intentional action through mindful movement. This is not just another yoga class; it’s a transformative space where judgments are left at the door, and everyone is seen, heard, acknowledged, understood, and fully supported.  Moving without clothes offers another layer to a typical practice by taking all physical and energetic layers off your body. Nudity holds lots of information; we are completely exposed to others and to ourselves. Nudity encourages you to become more conscious in all areas of your body, mind, and heart to help build your confidence, increase intimacy with yourself, and to explore the full-spectrum of your life.  No matter where you are on your journey, you are invited to shed not only your clothes but also the layers of self-doubt that hold you back. Together, we will dive deep into self-awareness, ignite intentional action, and foster profound connections with ourselves and each other through movement that empowers.  Please read the FAQs before you sign up. Reach out if you have any questions.

DESA presents: The Ellington Experience Fundraiser

DESA presents: The Ellington Experience Fundraiser

Fri, Feb 27 at 6:00 PM
TBA

Event Information

Dear Ellington Supporter,  In 1974, artists and leading visionaries Peggy Cooper Cafritz and Alvin (Mike) Malone established the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in a school in Northwest Washington, D.C. formerly known as Western High School. This began 50 years of free and excellent artistic and academic education to students who could not otherwise afford that opportunity. Their vision grew over the years into the world-renowned institution that today offers a life-changing arts education to underserved, but talented, District youth regardless of background or ability to pay. We are inviting you to become part of this enduring legacy. On February 27, 2026, the school will continue its 50th anniversary in a celebratory event called the Ellington Experience, a showcase of all eight arts departments, featuring student performances, a sponsor reception, and silent and live auctions.  The proceeds from this event will directly benefit current students by funding master classes from highly regarded artists, including Ellington alumni, travel opportunities for students to learn from major production houses/exhibitions (a first for many of our students), and procurement of industry-standard equipment for all departments, which ultimately enhances integrated arts through the fabric of our institution.  Your tax-deductible sponsorship will continue the DESA legacy that has produced countless leaders and professionals not only in the arts but across all disciplines. Please consider sponsoring today!  Sponsorships range from $500 to $25,000 and will ensure that you have premier seating at the show, access to the VIP reception, and your name featured on event materials and the school website. Please see sponsorship opportunities below. We look forward to your support.   ELLINGTON EXPERIENCE SPONSORSHIPSaturday, February 27, 2026Doors Open: 6:00 PM - Performance at 7:00 PM General Admission: $50 Reserved Seating (Early Entry): $75 Choose sponsorship options PLATINUM UNDERWRITER - $25,000 Up to 25 VIP Reception • Up to 25 VIP Premier Show tickets • Shout out from podium • Opportunity to introduce performance at podium • Name and logo in event materials, on website, and in social media post • Full page ad in Souvenir Program • Souvenir Program for each guest • Dedicated concierge for the evening A-TRAIN SPONSOR- $10,000 Up to 10 VIP Reception tickets • Up to 10 VIP Premier Show tickets • Shout out from podium • Name and logo in event materials, on website, and in social media post • Full page ad in Souvenir Program • Souvenir Program for each guest • Dedicated concierge for the evening SIR DUKE SPONSOR- $7,500 Up to 8 VIP Reception tickets • Up to 8 VIP Premier Show tickets • Name and logo in event materials, on website, and in social media post • Full page ad in Souvenir Program • 4 Souvenir Programs DUKE EXPRESS SPONSOR- $5,000 Up to 6 VIP Reception • Up to 6 Premier Show tickets • Name and logo in event materials, on website, and in social media post • Half page ad in Souvenir Program • 3 Souvenir Programs SILVER RECORD- $2,500 Up to 4 VIP Reception • Up to 4 Premier Show tickets • Name and logo in event materials, on website, and in social media post • Half page ad in Souvenir Program • 2 Souvenir Programs CAFRITZ CIRCLE - $1,000 2 VIP Reception tickets • 2 Premier Show tickets • Name and logo in event materials and on website • Name and logo in Souvenir Program • 1 Souvenir Program MALONE MUSE- $500 1 VIP Reception ticket • 1 Premier Show ticket • Name and logo in event materials and on website • Name and logo in Souvenir Program • 1 Souvenir Program
