Event Information

Slow Down in Historic Sugartown Join us in Sugartown for a 4-week series of yoga practices beginning in June on the fourth Thursday of each month beginning at 6:30. Classes will be held on June 26, July 24, August 28, and September 25. Yoga is more than just the physical (Asana) practice. There are physical, mental, and spiritual components. In this series you will experience some of the foundational practices in yoga including meditation, breathwork (Pranayama), sound bath, and philosophy. Each class will have a theme that incorporates these practices with movement and mindfulness.  This will be an all-levels practice suitable for new or experienced yogis. There will be options for those looking for more effort and those looking for less effort. Plan for a 75 minute practice with 50-60 minutes of slow flow yoga, including a long savasana. Each week will include a short meditation and/or pranayama practice, with an optional time at the end for questions or sharing.  Classes will be held outdoors (weather permitting) within the ruins of the old Worrall Barn.  In case of inclement weather, class will be held inside the Carriage Museum. Use 273 Boot Road, Malvern, PA for parking.  Cost will be $75 for all four classes or $20 for each class for those who preregister on-line. Cost for drop-ins will be $25 per class. Please bring your yoga mat or any props you might need. We will have a couple extra mats and blocks. Yoga is not about finding the perfect posture. It’s about the experience. Join us for that experience in Historic Sugartown! Nonnie Howard is an empathetic yoga practitioner and instructor and has a passion for helping students find their own voice in yoga by listening to their bodies and finding poses that work for them. Focusing on the breath, she guides the students through a slow, mindful practice, with the goal of sharing her love for the practice and helping her students create space for a little bit of Grace & Peace.
