Drawing, painting, and meditation have always been among his highest priorities. A lifelong seeker of spiritual truth, this pursuit has remained the driving force behind all of his life’s work. His childhood was spent filling sketchbooks, daydreaming, and closely observing nature. During his teenage years, he developed an interest in psychedelics, lucid dreaming, and meditation, channeling these explorations into artistic expression with pencils and paintbrushes. Crucible of the Visionary, by Stefan Lucas Allen Stefan then attended a few semesters at the Maryland Institute College of Art, eventually leading him to the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art (VAVA) in Vienna, Austria where he studied for five years. During this time, he became immersed in both the long-standing rich culture of Viennese art and the dynamic teachings of Visionary Artist mentors at VAVA. He later became an integral part of the VAVA community, serving as both studio monitor and figure drawing instructor. Beyond VAVA, Stefan dedicated his time to a breathwork meditation practice called Kriya Jyoti Tantra, particularly the Cosmic Cobra Breath technique. This practice led to profound spiritual transformation, turning him from a spiritual seeker into a spiritual finder. Kriya Jyoti Tantra & its lineage of transcendent yogis are an essential driving force in every aspect of his life, including his artwork. Currently, Stefan lives a simple life in Bloomfield, NY with his beloved, Alexandra, their cat Rowley, and daughter Kynareth. His time is devoted to painting, meditation, and teaching both art and Kriya Yoga. www.stefanlucasallen.art IG: stefan_lucas_allen_art FB: stefanlucasallenart MATERIALS: Basic materials will be provided for those that don’t have their own. Allyson Grey Allyson Grey is a painter and social sculptor. The subject of Allyson’s paintings is an essentialized world view, the artist’s interpretation of the realms of Chaos, Order & Secret Writing. Chaos represents the material world, Order the interconnected realm of energy and light and Secret Writing the untranslatable language of creative expression. Allyson has long been an art educator, organization developer, editor and muse to artists worldwide. MFA, Tufts University. Together, the Greys co-founded CoSM. Full Moon Ceremonies have been held by the Chapel since January 2003. Thousands of supporters from around the world have contributed to manifesting CoSM and the Entheon project. As long-time advocates of “cognitive liberty,” the Greys have been embraced as important mapmakers and spokespersons for the psychedelic visionary realm. The Greys, with the CoSM team and over thirteen hundred CoSM Members, continue to develop CoSM, with Entheon as a heart center, a sanctuary of Visionary Art and sacred offering in the scenic Hudson Valley town of Wappinger, New York. CoSM Full Moon Gatherings Explained Since January 2003, CoSM has held an unbroken chain of Full Moon ceremonies that honor the importance of cosmic alignment, spirituality and creativity. We meet on this monthly high tide of the spirit because the Full Moon is a symbol of the Soul, a luminous circle reflecting a greater light, just as each of us are sacred mirrors of God’s shining presence. The Full Moon Ceremony, held in the Great Hall, Entheon, hosts inspiring short presentations from wisdom teachers, poets, musicians, spiritual friends of all faiths. Alex and Allyson share a presentation on the theme of the month and guests have the chance to offer a blessing or declaration to the community. The performance ceremony adjourns and guests break for live music and dancing, socializing, visiting Entheon, the Mushroom Cafe and the CoSM Shop, gazing into an outdoor bonfire or an indoor fireplace, watching excellent fire-spinning, belly dancing, acrobatics, live painting and more. The evening ends with a closing ceremony and, in harmony with the creatures in our world, a group howl at the moon. Entheon, the Grey House, and the Mushroom Cafe will be open. Getting to CoSM CoSM is 65 miles north of New York City and accessible by Metro North Train leaving hourly from Grand Central Station. Parking Limited on-site parking is available. We gather as community to activate our creativity as spiritual practice. The Universal Creative Force is the Divine Artist and Cosmos is the evolving masterwork of Creation. When we make art together, a new way of seeing may emerge. As Sacred Mirrors, we reflect and reinforce the redemptive transformative power of art in each of our lives. Art Church begins with a wisdom drop on the monthly theme by Alex & Allyson, followed by a group meditation where we create art to music. After the meditation, CoSM members have the opportunity to share their creations with the community.
