Northampton Saints 3 Day Rugby Development Camp @ cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens At Northampton Saints, we aim to nurture and encourage young talent. Kids loving rugby is what inspires us, and through our Rugby Camps programmes we: CHALLENGE young people to set lofty goals and build up their skills to achieve them. PROVIDE an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. HELP young people to develop skills on and off the pitch. IMPROVE critical skills, such as leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork.   Northampton Saints 3-day Rugby Camp is split into 3 sections: TAG Rugby (Under 6’s – Under 8’s), Rugby Development (Under 9’s – Under 12’s) and Rugby Athlete Development (Under 13’s – Under 16’s). Each area of the camp is tailored to encourage development through each of the phases.  The course content for younger age groups focuses on the fundamental parts of the game. Sessions will be directed towards the adapted needs of the players, covering a number of themes from progressive movement and evasion skills in both attack and defence, essential ball handling / catch & pass, and age-appropriate contact training including tackling and rucking practice, to prepare them for safe and confident approaches to contact as they progress through the pathway.  The course content for the older development years has been designed specifically to focus on the more detailed parts of the game. Players will be challenged in a high-intensity and competitive learning environment, covering several themes including the development of fundamental skills under pressure and age-appropriate contact training. A portion of the camp will also focus on strength & conditioning, educating the players in appropriate warm-up activation, and fundamental movement patterns, which are essential for them to learn as they mature and become subject to higher training intensities. Throughout the duration of the camp our coaches will deliver the same coaching principles that are adopted by the Saints Senior Squad and throughout the Saints Academy, whilst reinforcing our SPIRIT core values; Sportsmanship, Pride, Integrity, Respect, Innovation & Teamwork. We boast a highly reliable, friendly, and trusted team of expert rugby coaches whose primary goal is to ensure that your child leaves camp having had an unforgettable and enjoyable learning experience. All staff are minimum England Rugby Level 2 qualified or above and are subject to Enhanced DBS checks and clearances. We have fully qualified First Aiders on site at all time, as well as identified Safeguarding leads for each camp. Explore the Northampton Saints junior masterclasses—a dynamic and concise learning opportunity that offers a glimpse into our exclusive masterclass sessions! The following unique junior masterclasses are available: Intro to Tackling - Under 9's - In this exciting skills clinic, we’ll focus on the new skill of tackling ahead of moving into their new age group next season. We’ll explore tackle techniques from various angles, drawing inspiration from our senior players who have honed their skills throughout the season. Our goal? To develop the player that misses the fewest tackles!  Intro to Rucking - Under 10's - In this skills clinic, we’ll deconstruct the ruck into smaller components, unveiling techniques and principles employed by our senior players. It’s a fantastic chance for our under 9s to explore this new skill and build confidence in this critical aspect of the game. Rucking serves as a potent weapon—whether it’s about retaining possession or pressuring the opposing team to regain control of the ball. Get ready to dive into the heart of the action!  Intro to Kicking - Under 11's - Join us in this skills clinic as we explore three of the most commonly used kicks in rugby: the punt, drop, and grubber kick. Designed specifically for the Under 10 age group, we’ll look at the basics and then tailor our approach to challenge both the more experienced players and those who need additional support. Kicking is a crucial skill—it allows you to swiftly move the ball into open space, score points, and contest possession. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a beginner, this clinic is the perfect opportunity to enhance your kicking abilities. Come join us and give it a try!  Intro to Attack - Under 12's - Join our Specialised Attack Clinic to hone the fundamental skills necessary for enhancing your attacking game. Throughout these clinics, you’ll delve into decision-making, catch-and-pass techniques, forward momentum, effective support play, and dynamic changes in running lines. All our games and exercises are closely linked to the academy and senior player training sessions. Northampton Saints/Loughborough Lightning Girls Only 1 Day Skills Camp @ cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens We are in the second season of the Girls Rugby Camp Programme, aiming to engage new and exisiting girls into the sport while hosting the Rugby World Cup 2025 at cinch Stadium @ Franklin's Gardens. Access to girls only rugby camps for the 2025/26 season is being supported by funding, making it easier than ever for girls to engage in rugby. This rugby camp is open to girls of all abilities, giving more girls who might be new to the sport the flexibility to try rugby. We aim to nurture and encourage young talent. Kids loving rugby is what inspires us. Through our girls only rugby camp format we endeavour to inpire a new generation of young female athletes and fans, working with our elite women's rugby team Loughborough Lightning. The Northampton Saints/Loughborough Lightning 1 Day Rugby Skills Camp is open to girls aged 6 - 12 years of age, in the Under 7 - Under 12 age groups (Year 2 - Year 7). The Girls Only 1 Day Rugby Skills Camp is designed to provide a fun experience that is open to all abilities. The morning session will focus on the basic fundamental skills in rugby, which are vital to both beginners and experienced players, whilst learning in an enjoyable and supportive environment. The afternoon will involve basic contact elements of the game, where appropriate. Girls will learn the same coaching principles that are adopted by the Loughborough Lightning and Northampton Saints Senior Squads and throughout the Saints Academy. We boast a highly reliable, friendly, and trusted team of expert rugby coaches whose primary goal is to ensure that your child leaves camp having had an unforgettable and enjoyable learning experience. All staff are minimum England Rugby Level 2 qualified or above and are subject to Enhanced DBS checks and clearances. We have fully qualified First Aiders on-site at all times, as well as identified safeguarding leads for each camp. Please note, this camp will take place in the High Performance Centre and therefore rugby boots are essential.
