The album faces feelings once locked</em><br><em>away, engaging the give-and-take between happiness, hedonism, and self-</em><br><em>destruction.<br><br>While often inhabited by fictional figures, their glowing, grooving, self-produced songs draw from personal observations: intimacy (both inside and outside the band), toxic behavior, drug use, and apocalyptic dread. When recording started, they noticed a shift and leaned in, jokingly dubbed "evil TOPS," says Penny. "We're always kind of seen as a soft band or like naive or friendly in a Canadian way, but we made it a challenge to really channel the world around us." His work, which catapults the listener into an utterly unfamiliar but wholly compelling cosmos of sound, has grown over time to represent one of the most fully realised and utterly personal music projects to have emerged in contemporary sound. Merzbow’s concerts are the stuff of legend, they exist as a near transcendental experiences where the body and the ears are consumed by a mass of sound the likes of which are almost impossible to describe. Merzbow’s music is a full spectrum eruption, a pyroclastic cloud of sound within which unknown pleasures lie. It’s a total music, a profound rendering of sound at its deepest, densest and most profound. </p><p style="text-align: center;">Merzbow is joined by fellow vibrationalist and lightning strike survivor Lawrence English. Accessibility Information
To avoid delays patrons requiring a wheelchair bay are encouraged to book their own tickets online where available. Bays can be purchased using the interactive seating map, with the option of additional paid or Companion Card tickets in the seat adjacent to the bay. Further requests & Companion Card holders who do not require a wheelchair bay, can book by phoning Ticketmaster's accessible seating line on 1300 446 925 or by following the link below. Please note that all Companion Card holders must visit the Box Office prior to entry and present their Companion Card to collect their tickets. Patrons with access needs should arrive at least half an hour prior to the performance and see the Front of House Manager for assistance. Mobility accessible seating is available in the back row of the Mezzanine - Row H is at street level. The Mezzanine is accessed by climbing only 2 steps - a ramp is put in place for wheelchair patrons to access the Mezzanine at Row H .
