Kicking off the CFR Rodeo week, The Commercial presents the first annual Country Showdown, featuring The Orvald Wayne Show with The Bing Bang Boys! The Orvald Wayne Show is carving out a place in Canadian country music with heartfelt storytelling, rich harmonies, and a sound deeply rooted in Alberta’s landscapes and small-town spirit. Fronted by Ty Orvald Wayne Lindberg and joined by a talented band featuring members of You Me & Zach, the group has earned acclaim for their authentic blend of foot-stomping anthems and soul-stirring ballads. The Bing Bang Boys are an Indigenous-fronted four-piece country and western band, delivering outlaw grit and prairie charm with a true north honky-tonk spirit built for good times. With original songs that nod to tradition while keeping it fresh, they bring an honest, no-frills approach to country music that gets boots stompin’, drinks clinkin’, and crowds singing along. The Commercial is thrilled to present a true Canadian legend, Wild T & The Spirit. Led by frontman Toney Springer, whose fierce guitar chops, fiery live performances, and unparalleled imagination drive his music to the next level. Toney's talent earned him recognition from some of the biggest names in the industry. He has shared the stage with music icons such as David Bowie, Jeff Healey, and Bon Jovi, and has been on Late Night shows such as Jay Leno, and David Letterman. Bowie invited him to record on his Black Tie White Noise album, describing him as "an absolute delight" and comparing his guitar style to that of Jimi Hendrix. Jeff Healey recognized Toney's unique ability to combine endless inspiration with raw emotion. "I followed him around like he was a Messiah," said Healey. "I probably learned more from Toney than anybody else. Toney's been my idol for years." EDMONTON’S ICOINC LIVE MUSIC VENUE
