WHEN: September 2nd, 7:30pm (Doors at 7:00 PM) WHERE: Christ Community Church, 1215 Hillsboro Rd, Franklin, TN 37069 The Local Show, a monthly concert series hosted by The Rabbit Room, presents a special concert with Andrew Peterson and a 20th Anniversary celebration of The Far Country, his fifth studio album. Released in 2005, this album invites us on yet another journey to someplace unexpected: The Far Country. Meister Eckhart wrote, “God is at home. We are in the far country.” Peterson read the quote in a book by Annie Dillard years ago and scribbled it in his journal. “It expressed so simply the way I feel about life on this earth, and my heart resounded with the truth of it,” recalls Peterson. “I loved the way it turned my thinking on its end; we usually think of Heaven as the far country, a cloudy, ethereal place, an eternal church service, which sounds about as appealing as traffic school. C.S. Lewis said that all of our desires, for acceptance, intimacy, rest, work, satisfaction, beauty are, at their root, desires for heaven.” Featuring a full band with Andy Gullahorn, Jill Phillips, Ben Shive, and more, we hope you’ll join us for this special Local Show celebration!

A BEAUTIFUL HOMESCHOOL CONFERENCE We're hosting our 20th Wild + Free conference at the Factory in Franklin, TN on September 19-20, 2025, and we'd love to have you! Join 900 wild and free mamas for two days of insight, inspiration, and community.  This gathering will feature main-stage keynotes, incredible music by a collective of artists, a maker market, access to the Factory's very own farmer's market, and plenty of other surprises we can't wait to share!  We may not all homeschool the same, but we have each other, and we're in this together.  Learn more at bewildandfree.org/conference. CONFERENCE SCHEDULE We'll release the actual schedule of presenters to attendees closer to the weekend. Until then, here is a general schedule for the event: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 5:00 PM – Check-in Begins 5:30 PM – Doors Open  7:00 PM – Opening Night Session 9:00 PM – Dismiss SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 8:00 AM – Doors Open  9:00 AM – Morning Session  10:15 AM – Break 10:45 AM – Main Session  12:00 PM – Lunch on Your Own  1:30 PM – Main Session  3:00 PM – Break 3:45 PM – Afternoon Session  5:00 PM – Dismiss Please note: Tickets are transferrable but non-refundable. THINGS TO KNOW On Fathers and Children: While we value the vital role of fathers in homeschooling and we love children, this event is for women only (nursing infants are welcome). This is in keeping with our identity as a community for mothers. On Matters of Faith: Some of our presenters are people of faith, others are not. Everyone is welcome, but we realize this event might not be the right fit for those who want an exclusively faith-based event or an exclusively secular event. On Parking and Transportation Please know there is a farmer's market that meets on the grounds of The Factory on Saturday mornings, so parking will be limited. We encourage you to take Lyft or Uber or carpool with others to the venue if possible. On Volunteers: At each Wild + Free conference, we have a small but mighty team of women who volunteer to serve the nearly-900 mamas in attendance. We're looking for women who have a desire to roll up their sleeves and pour into other mamas at the event -- first and foremost. We can't promise you a spot, but you can request to join our team by filling out an application. On Cancellations and Refunds: Tickets are transferable but non-refundable. You can transfer them to any other woman if you're not able to attend. Simply look for buyers at #wildandfreefranklin and transfer your ticket to the purchaser with instructions provided on the ticket - or at this link. On the Maker Market: Each year at Wild + Free Franklin, TN, we host a Maker Market for makers and sellers of handcrafted, handmade goods, rather than corporate products, curriculum, or essential oils.
