Pianist and organist John "Papa" Gros has spent over three decades sharing the vibrant sounds of New Orleans with the world. "Sharing New Orleans with the world is my calling," he says. Gros blends funk, traditional jazz, brass band, and blues into his signature musical gumbo, bringing the city's celebratory culture to audiences globally. A graduate of Loyola University with a degree in French Horn, Gros began performing at fifteen and quickly became a sought-after sideman, supporting New Orleans legends such as George Porter Jr. and Snooks Eaglin. Between 2000 and 2013, he led Papa Grows Funk, releasing six critically acclaimed albums and touring internationally. His third solo album, Central City, showcases his feel-good originals and interpretations of classics by Allen Toussaint, Lloyd Price, and John Prine, featuring some of New Orleans' finest musicians. A lot of talented children have probably been asked by a parent to entertain family and friends, maybe in the living room, maybe sing a little, play an instrument. No big deal and a good way to get used to performing for others. But when Jason Bonham was a small child and got called in to entertain, the family friends he played his drums for could be anyone from Jimmy Page to some of the guys from the group Bad Company. At the age of only five, Jason could play the drums, at least a scaled-down set of them, with skill. When he was 17, he was a member of the band Air Race. The group signed a record contract with Atlantic Records, recorded one album, and opened for big names like Queen, Meat Loaf, Ted Nugent, and AC/DC. John Bonham died in 1980, but Jason, who has marked a few places in music history himself, has stepped in from time to time to help keep his father's memory alive.

Originally from Rockford, IL, Gerry began his career in Colorado on harmonica with the late John-Alex Mason, and was later featured on John-Alex Masons final album alongside Cedric Burnside, Lightnin Malcolm, and Lionel Young. After coming home to Illinois, Gerry played festivals and venues across the US and Europe during a five-year stint with Nick Moss and The Flip-Tops. During this time, Nick and Kate founded Blue Bella Records, with Gerry as engineer for a dozen releases, including his own blues mandolin album, Since Way Back, in 2007. Blues Music Award nominations followed suit, as well as features at Montreal Jazz Festival and Blues Station in Tournon, France. Starting in 2013, Gerry served as manager, guitarist, and songwriter for The Corey Dennison Band, which produced highly-regarded two albums for Delmark Records, garnering Le Prix du Blues from lAcademie du Jazz in 2016, as well as BMA nominations. Post-2020 saw the creation of The Dig 3, a collaboration that featured Gerrys one-man-band augmented by Andrew Duncanson and Ronnie Shellist for two critically-acclaimed albums, landing #3 in MOJO Magazines Top Ten for 2023, no small feat for an independent release. One More for Me, recorded in Luxembourg with drummer Tom Lehnert and bassist/harmonicist Renaud Lesire, represents Gerrys emergence as an important voice in the contemporary blues scene. By turns powerful, exuberant, and subtle, this album marks his most personal statement to date and is a celebration of the city he calls home.
