Welcome to The Queer Agenda: a live comedy dating show where flirting becomes a spectator sport.Hosted by comedians Jaleesa Johnson and Raven McIntosh, this chaotic little experiment combines stand-up, a game show, and a dating show into one very entertaining night. Each month, a group of brave single queers takes the stage to compete in ridiculous games, answer mildly invasive questions, and attempt to charm both the audience and each other. Along the way, our hosts roast the contestants, stir the pot, and guide the room toward one final matchmaking moment. Will sparks fly? Will someone embarrass themselves? Will the audience accidentally witness true love?Theres only one way to find out.Whether you come to watch, laugh, or volunteer as tribute, The Queer Agenda is part comedy show, part dating experiment, and part queer community chaos.Doors at 7PMShow at 8PMChop Suey | SeattleSingle? Mel Brown B3 Organ GroupIf this band appeared in New York City, theyd be a sensation! That was guitar great--and one-time Mel Brown bandmate George Bensons reaction after hearing the Mel Brown B-3 Organ Group back in 2003.In fact, this true All-star band (all four members are Oregon Music Hall Of Fame inductees) has been a sensation going back to 1997, when they began a 20-year run on Thursday evenings at Portlands legendary Jimmy Maks (The Oregonian dubbed them Jimmy Maks signature group).Theyve continued their Thursday night tradition at the Jack London Revue for the past 6 years. With a collective resume that reads like a Whos Who of NW jazz, blues, and soul, this group has the talent and confidence to be completely spontaneous --from their blistering solos to their improvised arrangements and segues. No wonder theyve thrilled audiences wherever theyve played. Count among the bands fans jazz great Christian McBride, host of National Public Radios Jazz Night In America. In an October 2021 broadcast, McBride interviewed Mel and played excerpts from a Mel Brown B-3 Organ Group festival set. At one point in the program, McBride exclaimed, My mind is blown!JLR Seating Map Notes: For this show, you may reserve individual tables on the map pictured. His debut album 151a (2012) received high praise from NPRs Bob Boilen, who called it a radiant, uplifting soundscape. This launched Kishi Bashi onto major festival stages such as SXSW and Austin City Limits and began his journey as a critically acclaimed solo artistIn addition to his solo career, Kishi Bashi was the founding member of the electronic rock outfit Jupiter One. In 2011, he began recording and performing solo, opening for artists like the Sondre Lerche and Alexi Murdoch, before embarking on his own U.S. tours. His 2016 album Sonderlust was released live on NPRs All Songs Considered, adding to his ever-growing legacy. His 2019 album Omoiyari (a Japanese word meaning compassion for others) and its accompanying documentary explored themes of minority identity and the WWII incarceration of Japanese Americans. The film, after four years of work and over $100,000 in funding from global backers, premiered at SXSW 2022. Kishi Bashi also scored the soundtrack for the Apple TV+ series Stillwater (2020), a collection of uplifting orchestral tracks he co-composed with Toby Chu.In 2021, Kishi Bashi released Emigrant EP, a companion piece to Omoiyari, further exploring the themes of his documentary. In 2022, he re-issued his debut album 151a in celebration of its 10th anniversary, with a double LP featuring demo versions of the original tracks. His documentary A Song Film By Kishi Bashi: Omoiyari was acquired by MTV Documentaries and will be available on Paramount+ in the fall of 2023. The soundtrack, Music from the Song Film: Omoiyari, is also available2024 saw the release of his fifth studio album Kantos (August 23), a kaleidoscopic journey inspired by sci-fi, philosophy, and ancient ruins. The album blends everything from Brazilian jazz and 70s funk to orchestral rock and city pop, influenced by the cult-classic sci-fi novel series Hyperion Cantos, the writings of 18th-century Enlightenment philosopher Immanuel Kant, and Kishi Bashis revelatory trip to ancient ruins on the island of Crete.

Dubbed the "Wonder Theatre of the World," the building became an East Coast mecca for star-studded entertainment. Now, almost a century later, Spiegelworld is undertaking a multi-million dollar resurrection of THE HOOK, retaining its beautiful, original, ocean-view façade. Opening June 2023 at Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino and operating every week of the year, THE HOOK will feature a world-premiere live show, an East Coast home for our awesome Italian-American-Psychedelic Superfrico restaurant, and several discoverable cocktail bars. As Atlantic City's first-ever permanent entertainment residency, The Hook live show is directed by Britain's leading comedy director Cal McCrystal (Atomic Saloon Show, One Man Two Guvnors). When the stunning Warner Theatre opened in 1929, an icon was born on the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. Of course, you can expect Spiegelworld's signature blitz of ridiculous fun, jaw-dropping wow, and sizzling hot superhumans from around the world.

CeCe Winans' More Than This Tour will be one of the most comprehensive tours of CeCe's entire career! Each night will feature the worship moments you have come to expect, Goodness of God, Believe For It, and Alabaster Box; While also introducing you to the new standards, That's My King, Holy Forever, Come Jesus Come, and more. It's 1905 in the racially segregated world of boxing, and Jay "The Sport" Jackson, a handsome, tough, headstrong and undeniably great boxer, dreams of being the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Inspired by the life and story of Jack Johnson, The Royale, by Marco Ramirez, is a drama of the psyche that follows Jay after a money-hungry boxing promoter sparks a plan for a historic fight of the century. Suddenly, his dream seems possible..but at what cost? The Royale is a deep examination of society's relationship with history makers and the responsibilities they carry both inside and outside the ring.

Since then, through both his education and the beginning of his professional freelance career, Henry has been fortunate enough to share the stage with Dag Juhlin, Billy Harper, Robbie Fulks, Tanya Darby, Cathy Richardson, NRBQ and the Canadian Brass. Henry has also enjoyed a healthy start to a career as a private instructor and group music educator, running a small studio of dedicated middle and high schoolers across the Chicagoland area. When hes not playing or teaching, he can be found playing video games, cooking a new dish, or relaxing on Montrose beach. This show will be an opportunity to premiere new work, revisit some favorites, and share arrangements of some of Henrys favorite artists. The Visit is a darkly comedic and haunting exploration of justice, revenge, and the price of moral compromise. When a wealthy woman returns to her impoverished hometown offering a fortune in exchange for a chilling demand, the community is forced to confront its values and loyalties. Blending sharp satire with gripping drama, Durrenmatt's play examines how desperation and power can distort ethical boundaries. Tense, though-provoking, and theatrically bold, The Visit asks what people are willing to sacrifice when faced with the promise of salvation...and the cost of conscience.

Mike OHehir, the man at the heart of Coyote Island, is an old soul, but the music hes crafted with his band and growing collection of diverse collaborators is as fresh as anything going today. From the breezy and bouncy mix of Caribbean beats and contemporary pop production that blasted Here Before into the post-pandemic public consciousness to the meditative and moody organ that makes Shine through the Darkness a glimmering beacon for lost souls, his songs are mood enhancements and attitude adjustments perfect for a generation of music lovers looking for a path forward. Now, to follow the breakout success of their 2023 album Holy Illusion, Coyote Island have released a string of singles highlighted by Trust the Path, featuring the Hip Abduction, in anticipation of the release of the full-length Shadow Magic, coming August 15.Like Khruangbin or Father John Misty, Vampire Weekend or Talking Heads, they take authentic traditions and spin them into the future, bringing you along with them as they follow their own path, trusting that theyll figure everything out along the way. Or wont. Its that sort of curiosity about the world that turns clubs into tent revivals, festivals into mystical experiences.

Wednesday, April 1 Golomb with Lavender Jets and Powers/Rolin Duo at Grog ShopDoors 7 PM | Show 8 PM ALL AGES$15 advance/ $20 day of show+ $3 at the door if under 21 Molded in the fertile rock crescent of Columbus, Ohio, three-piece Golomb channels Midwest friction into an album that seeks to find a genuine connection. The band boasts not one, but two bonded dynamics, something of an aberration among most trios. Siblings Xenia (bass) and Hawken (drums) tie down the rhythm section with songwriter/guitarist Mickey Shuman and Xenia turning their tags to spouse after years of dating. The close bonds between the members have fed into the bands process family and friends first and band second, leveraging years of trust to turn The Beat Goes On into an album that never wavers in its sincerity. An early recording session with engineer Keith Hanlon for their EP Love expands as the band returns to record the new album with him at Musicol and Secret Sound with a bigger, bolder dynamic that captures the bands live energy to tape. Not only the sound, but the studio itself was fuller this time, with embellishments from Henry Ross and Bob Starker on Sax, David Holm and Austin Wyckoff on guitar, and Abi Gray adding violin.Stripping away artifice, Golomb takes an omnivorous approach to the solid and staid structures of rock in 2025. The band admittedly sets their compass on the classic magnetism of The Stones, letting Mick n the boys chameleonic nature feed their own urge to not be pinned down by genre expectations. Emerging from the 8-track turbulence of their debut, they slip from psych scorch to power pop with stops through dub and country along the way. Now, on first listen to the bands sophomore LP, visions of UK rock godfathers might not spring to mind, but much like a quartet from Queens once penned their own teenage symphonies to God and found punk in the process, Golomb have a way of fusing the past in unexpected ways with impressive results.

A séance is a gathering or session conducted to communicate with spirits, often involving individuals attempting to make contact with deceased friends and family members, as well as spirit guides and guardian angels. The word "séance" is derived from the French word for "session." Séances have been part of spiritual and occult practices for centuries and are commonly associated with the spiritualist movement, which gained popularity in the 19th and early 20th centuries. A Full Moon Seance harnesses the collective energy of participants as they come together to connect with messages from the spiritual realm, amplified by the full moon's potent influence. Typically, a séance involves a group of people, often led by a spiritualist medium who serves as the messenger to the spirit world. The atmosphere is usually quiet and focused, intending to create a conducive environment for spirit communication. The doors open 30 minutes before the event starts. Charles Cox is your host. He is a psychic medium, a minister in the spiritualist tradition, and an educator. He serves as the visionary behind the Denver Psychic Development Meetup group and holds a respected position within our contemporary spiritual community. At his events, he shares spiritual insights and personal experiences, all with a touch of gentle humor.

Cliff Cash is a nationally touring standup comic who got his start in North Carolina. People said you should be a comedian his whole life but that sounded just as abstract as you should be president or you should be an astronaut. But you can only run from fate for so long. In 2011 at the age of 31, Cash got up at his first open mic. He was in the middle of big financial troubles, his father in chemo, a failing business and a tumultuous relationship. That four minutes on stage breathed life back into him that he didnt think was possible. He didnt miss one after that for two years. Within a year and a half he landed Comedy Centrals UpNEXT and Sirius XM, the next year he appeared on Laughs TV and won Port Citys Top Comic and Comedy Zones Almost Famous. Hes gone on to win SLO Comedy festivals Best of the Fest, Denver Comedy Works Thick Skinned (twice) and has headlined shows at Altercation Comedy Festival, Treefort Festival, West End Comedy Festival and BackHand Comedy Festival. Hes also been part of Standup NBC and Rooftop Comedy. Cash has a half hour on DRYBAR Comedy called God Needed a Driver and his debut album Halfway There was released by StandUp! Records in 2021 and spent a week at #1 on the comedy charts.

This workshop offers gentle guidance to help soften the weight of grief. Participants will explore tools for emotional regulation, energy balancing, and self-compassion to support them in moving forward with resilience. The focus will be on understanding grief as energy in motion that affects the body, exploring how the five stages of grief are not linear, and learning to release tension while finding rebirth after loss through breathwork, meditation, and energy-based practices. Instructor: Susan Schultz, owner, practitioner, and teacher at Healing Waters Health Center Cost: $5/free for co-op owners The class will be held at River Market conference room, 221 Main St., N., Stillwater. Susan Schultz is the owner, practitioner, and teacher at Healing Waters Health Center. Her curiosity about energy began during her work as an Occupational Therapist, specializing in craniosacral therapy. This exploration eventually led her to AcuEnergetics, an advanced energy healing modality from Australia. Through AcuEnergetics, Susan transitioned from a conventional medical model to a more integrative approach, combining her clinical expertise with an understanding of how bio-electricity influences health bridging the gap between traditional therapy and energy healing. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Register for the class by clicking ‘Get Tickets’.
