Event Information

The Path of the Advanced Sri Meditator At Haus of Sri, each practice and teaching is a doorway to deeper refinement, expanded awareness, and more embodied living. As your inner experience deepens, a natural desire arises to go further—to anchor what’s unfolding, to explore the subtle architecture of reality, and to live in greater alignment with your true nature. This is where the path of advancement begins: a curated sequence of initiations, breath practices, and knowledge immersions designed to meet you exactly where you are and gently guide you to what’s next.  Throughout this journey, meditation serves to balance your body’s biology, restoring vitality and shaping you into a capable vessel for your mind. By confronting and releasing fears, doubts, and inner turmoil, you prepare to uncover the abundant wealth of your consciousness. This sacred journey empowers you to live an extraordinary life, filled with enthusiasm, courage, and a deep connection to the mysteries of existence. The Developing of Consciousness From the Sri Method perspective when an individual is consistent with their twice-a-day meditation - magic happens. The practice begins to illuminate and blossom spontaneously within an individual's consciousness. It’s such a joy to witness. This journey is an invitation to explore the incredible potential and richness of your mind, illuminating your path with love, inspiration, and profound insight. Advanced Mantra Techniques Mantra Advancements are the natural evolution of your original initiated bija mantra—offered to expand your inner experience once the current mantra’s frequency has fully stabilized in your system. There are eight advancements available for each bija, each one gently deepening your access to subtler layers of consciousness. These advancements are practiced in every sit and are typically received every 9–12 months, once a strong foundation of consistent, non-negotiable daily meditation is established. As a general rhythm, one advancement per year is recommended. Each advancement is taught through a short weekend course that includes a sacred puja, personal initiation, and one session of knowledge. How it Works: Friday - The 1st day is group initiation at 6-8p.   Please bring 12 fresh roses (no thorns) and 3 sweet fruits (no stickers) for the puja ceremony. After puja, each individual will privately receive their advanced technique. You will receive simple instruction and we will all meditate together. Saturday - The 2nd day you come to your specific session or 4th-8th advancement, book private time for 15 mins session... 11:30a-12:30p - First Advanced Technique (attended 4-day Intro Course and meditated consistently for a minimum of a year)  12:45-1:45p - Second Advanced Technique (received your first mantra advancement and have meditated consistently with this technique for at least 1 year)  2-3p - Third Advanced Technique (received your 2nd mantra advancement and have meditated consistently with this technique for at least 1 year)  4p - Book in 4-8th Advanced Technique sessions Requirements:  Must have attended the Sri Meditation Initiation (formerly VM) in order to enroll.       Must have meditated for a minimum of one year with intro mantra twice a day, every day (at least getting to 700 of the 730 meditations in one year or longer for each technique given).       Held in-person with limited availability and via Zoom             Please keep in mind that learning in-person is always the preference on Initiation Day (First Day). This new online offering is ideally for those who are non-local, immune-compromised, or absolutely unable to attend in person.             Students must attend both days   each session runs approximately 60 mins              Note: time is in Mountain Standard Time

A new way to experience music—through presence, feeling, and deep listening. FULL WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION  Music Mindfulness is a therapeutic, embodied approach to learning and experiencing music—one that begins not with performance or perfection, but with presence. In this 3-hour immersive, in-person workshop, you’ll explore guitar and ukulele as tools for awareness, emotional regulation, and creative expression. Rather than focusing on songs or technique alone, we’ll slow down and learn how to feel music in the body, listen deeply, and reconnect with the part of you that already knows how to make music. This workshop is designed to help you: Calm and regulate your nervous system Develop deeper attention and listening Reconnect with joy, flow, and creativity Experience music as something you participate in, not perform We’ll work with simple music meditations, gentle guidance, and shared exploration. No pressure. No judgment. Just real musical expression—right from the first note. Whether you’re brand new, self-taught, returning after years away, or an experienced player feeling stuck or disconnected, Music Mindfulness meets you exactly where you are. This is music from the inside out. WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE  Deep listening and feeling sound in the body Slowing down to build presence and confidence Using rhythm and tone to regulate attention and emotion Releasing tension, judgment, and “trying to get it right” Reconnecting with your Inner Musician Playing simple, meaningful music that feels good and sounds beautiful WHO THIS IS FOR This workshop is for you if: You’ve always loved music but felt blocked, intimidated, or “not talented” You play guitar or ukulele and want a more connected, embodied experience You feel tense, frustrated, or disconnected when you practice You’re curious about mindfulness but struggle with seated meditation You want music to feel nourishing, grounding, and alive again No prior experience required. All levels welcome. WHAT TO EXPECT  Gentle, guided musical practices Individual and group exploration A calm, supportive, non-judgmental environment Sitting and playing comfortably (chairs provided) Time for reflection, questions, and integration You’ll leave feeling more grounded, more musical, and more connected—to yourself and to sound. WHAT TO BRING A guitar or ukulele* *if you don’t have a guitar or ukulele, there will be a limited number available for use on a first come basis.  Please let us know when you register if you’ll need an instrument. Curiosity and an open mind ABOUT THE FACILITATOR  Josh Brill is a musician, former educator at Berklee College of Music, and the founder of Music Mindfulness—a method that integrates music, presence, nervous system regulation, and inner awareness. With over 33 years of teaching experience, Josh has worked with beginners, professionals, and lifelong music lovers who thought music wasn’t “for them.” His work reframes music as a birthright, not a talent—and invites people to experience music as a path to connection, healing, and personal transformation.
