Event Information

Brudenell Presents... With support from - Nashpaints & Cherry Seraph Irish musician Maria Somerville shared her second album and debut project on 4AD, Luster, in April. A few months on from its release, Somerville now announces a brand new Luster (Remixes) EP, due 21 January. In total, the EP gives six tracks off Somerville’s already mesmerizing, wind-swept record new life in fitting, and sometimes surprising ways via its enlisted cast of friends and collaborators (Seefeel, YHWH Nailgun, Fatshaudi, colle, Asa Nisi Masa & Oscar18, and Boris).Alongside the announcement, today finds the release of three remix tracks off the EP — Seefeel’s slow-burning ‘Stonefly’ remix, where the track is extended over 7- minutes with crackling synths and whispered cosmological refrains; colle’s (Maya McGrory of Chanel Beads) ‘Projections’ remix, where she adds to the longing inherent of the single with delicately plucked strings and lightly swirling feedback; and Brisbane-based underground dream-pop artist Fatshaudi’s (aka Rachael Ryan) swooning and romantic remix of ‘Up’, where she takes the track to an even glossier, more atmospheric plane.Maria Somerville’s Luster, the otherworldly yet grounded record including atmospheric and whirring dreamgaze singles ‘Spring’ and ‘Garden’, channels her experiences on the bank of the Corrib in her native Connemara, Ireland and pays homage to the sonic tapestry woven by classic 4AD collective This Mortal Coil. In the short time since its release, the critically acclaimed record has seen a Best New Music accolade from Pitchfork and a glowing Guardian review, among other pieces of praise such as being named one of The FADER’s ‘30 coolest artists right now’, and Clash and Loud & Quiet’s best albums of 2025 so far. In continued celebration of Luster, Maria Somerville will hit the road next Spring, with continued dates across the United States (including Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN), the UK, and her native Ireland (headline dates in Limerick, Dublin, and Galway). In addition, she has just been announced as support on two of My Bloody Valentine’s UK/EU tour dates this November (Manchester and Dublin), which fittingly follows her naming the band’s seminal record Loveless as her Pitchfork Perfect 10. This forthcoming run follows highly touted sold-out 2025 shows in New York and London amidst other buzzy headline dates across the UK/EU/US (with shows alongside Chanel Beads, james K, and others).

Brudenell Presents... With support from - Bleary Eyed 14+ (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult) Wednesday, the North Carolina rock band led by generational songwriter Karly Hartzman, share a twangy and timeless new single titled “Elderberry Wine,” alongside a video directed by Spencer Kelly. “‘Elderberry Wine’ is about the potential for sweet things in life (love, family, success) to become poison if not prepared for and attended to correctly,” Hartzman explains. “Elderberry is known as a healing fruit, and is an ingredient in many tonics and syrups to aid the immune system. One time however, my sister consumed them raw and it immediately induced vomiting. So ‘Elderberry Wine’ is ultimately a love song about creating just the right environment for fulfillment. There's a delicate balance that needs to be created, especially in love, for two lives to intersect without poisoning each other.” “Elderberry Wine” is the first taste of new music from Wednesday since the release of their breakthrough album Rat Saw God. The album was one of 2023’s most critically acclaimed releases, landing on year end lists at the New York Times, NPR, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, The Altantic, The Ringer, The FADER, Paste, Consequence, Stereogum and more. Wednesday is Karly Hartzman, MJ Lenderman, Xandy Chelmis, Alan Miller, and Ethan Baechtold. Of the video, director Spencer Kelly says “We shot most of this music video at The Bench, Greensboro's second-oldest bar and easily one of its most vibrant. On any given day, you’ll find people there from all walks of life swapping stories beneath the music blasting overhead. We came in with some specific scripted scenes, but we wanted to capture the bar as authentically as possible—so everyone you see in the video is a regular, including Karly’s dad, George. This video is a bit of a love letter to places like this, where the sense of community runs deep and the beers are always cold.” Praise for Rat Saw God:“One of the best indie rock bands around.”-Pitchfork, Best New Music "An exceptional record that makes you want to look more deeply at the world around you, an album of wild storytelling and quiet epiphanies."-The Wall Street Journal “A beautifully bleak record that spins up country, shoegaze, suburban nightmares and youthful debauchery into a thrilling work of distorted Americana.”-NPR "Rat Saw God is a rare Great Unifier; anyone who has identified as an indie rock fan in the past 30 or so years will find something to love here."-The Ringer “Wednesday falls somewhere between the country rumbling of the Drive-By Truckers and the melodic squeal of early Dinosaur Jr.”-The New Yorker “Wednesday might end up as the greatest indie band of their generation.”-Stereogum "What makes Wednesday one of the best bands in the world is Hartzman’s songwriting. It’s paradisiacal in a scuzzy way, adaptable to any underbelly in North America and wickedly unafraid of being too truthful or unabashed."-Paste “Karly Hartzman’s storytelling remains a beautifully magpie-like collection of little details drawn from memory and observation, woven together into a transcendent indie rock tapestry.”-The AV Club

Event Information

Desiree Burch: The Golden Wrath  There comes a day when you look around and wonder “is the world a raging bin fire, or is it perimenopause?” The answer, my friend, is “yes”. Authentic, curious, and gleefully irascible, storyteller and comedian Desiree Burch leads a madcap voyage through the Middle Ages - AKA the mid-life crisis, and its mandatory metamorphosis – in her new standup hour. Desiree brings both childlike wonder and crone-like wit to the experiences of losing sleep, relevance, knee cartilage, oestrogen, youth, and illusions in a laugh-packed hour that celebrates the fury and freedom found when you’ve accepted that time has ruined your plans, but roll up your sleeves to fight it anyway.  Desiree Burch is an American comedian who has appeared across the UK’s biggest comedy shows, including ‘Taskmaster’, ‘The Mash Report’, ‘Live At The Apollo’, ‘Travelman’, ‘The Last Leg’, ‘QI’, and more.  She’s also the wisecracking narrator of Netflix's iconic guilty pleasure ‘Too Hot to Handle’.  ‘That Desiree Burch can have audiences of all demographics howling over something many would struggle to define is testament to rare comic chops.’ ★★★★★ The Age (Australia) ‘Spectacular as it gets without costumes, props and fireworks.’ ★★★★★ Fest Mag ‘Near-perfect example of comedic storytelling.’ ★★★★ The Evening Standard ★★★★ The Guardian ★★★★ The Scotsman

Event Information

Originally from Georgia and now based in Nashville, Willow Avalon's musical journey began with her first word, 'Elvis'. Raised by her mother and grandmother in a small southern town, she grew up playing piano in church and taught herself guitar at age 12, using songwriting as both an escape and a means of self-expression. After independently releasing her debut single Drivin' in 2021, she quickly caught the industry's attention, leading to her deal with Atlantic Records/Assemble Sound in 2023 and her EP Stranger in 2024. Her debut album, Southern Belle Raisin' Hell (January 2025), cemented her as one of country music's most compelling new voices, blending classic country, Americana and rock influences. With a sharp wit and rebellious spirit, she has shared stages with legends and rising stars alike, including Zach Bryan (July 2025), Bob Dylan (June 2025), Cage the Elephant, Paul Cauthen, and Charles Wesley Godwin. Solidified by sold out headline tours in both the US and the UK, as well as hundreds of millions of views across social content, Willow Avalon is redefining what it means to be a modern Southern storyteller. Event Information

Productions Abadan Presents PARVIZ "KHORSHID KHANOOM" 2026 UK TOUR Support by WIFFENEY Parviz's self-titled debut album is slated for release in 2026: infused with psych, funk and classic sounds from the Persian world, it evokes the spirit of Iran's 70's music scene while adding a contemporary touch. At times buoyant, variegated and contemplative, it's like an old taping of Iran's beloved show Rangarang brought back to life. Flowing detuned synths and DIY aesthetics give it this indie je-ne-sais-quoi; it's candid, nostalgic, dreamy and fierce, both rooted in Persian culture and distinctly modern. Lead single "Azadeh" - a female given name meaning "free-spirited" - pays homage to the "Woman Life Freedom" movement, with artwork by Rana Fadavi emphasising its urgency. Follow-up "Sappho's Fragments" aired on BBC Radio 6 and has totalled more than 300k streams in its first 6 months after release. Parviz's music aired on BBC Radio 1, Radio 6, FIP, and has been found on playlists from Facemelts, A1234 and many more. Parviz will be touring in the UK in February & March 2026 for his "Khorshid Khanoom" tour, and will be playing at The Attic in Leeds on 25 February.

Event Information

Ian Stone returns to Leeds as part of his new UK tour Ian Stone is “Looking for the Wow” “Life can’t just be the humdrum, the mundane and the routine before the inevitable slide to disease, decay and death. Why can’t we sneak in a bit of awesome, a tad of amazing and maybe a smidge of wonderful? A forest canopy opening onto a huge vista would be enchanting for some but my ancestors wandered in the desert for forty years, I think we’ve been outdoors enough. Others get their fix from the spiritual but I’ve been harbouring a grudge against God since my mother stopped me going to Arsenal after my Barmitzvah.  Forty-nine years ago. ’God will be watching’ she said. Well, at least he got to see the game. The point is, life could be so much better so I’m on the lookout. Come and join me on the hunt.”
